Not only are these the firm bristle tooth brushes I love, that are but impossible to find ordinarily, they come with a handy dandy little brush head protector, just in case you have an over active commode that launches microscopic E. coli mist into the air when flushed. I know, gross, right? Well either the corporate media has invented a new concern for us to stress over, and line their pockets according, or it’s a real issue that begs prudence. Me, I’m of the theory that that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and laugh in the face of such danger. The stuff I have put in my mouth over a lifetime would boggle your mind. And, resultantly, my immune system is made of hardened steel. I can eat mystery third world street food without so much as a fart. I do have a minor concern that the toothbrush head protector might eventually contribute to the marginalization of my immune system, but that’s a risk that I’ll just have to take. The quantity of toothbrushes in this package has finally facilitated my ability to obey the corporate insistence to replace my toothbrushes at frequent junctures, far more frequent than I ever considered necessary. Topping that off with the aforementioned difficulty of sourcing firm headed hard bristle toothbrushes, and you can begin to see the magnitude of benefit derived derived from this package. No more seven hour motorcycle trips to the WalMart in Hamilton, Ontario, the last brick and mortar retail establishment I found that offered up these treasured hygienic devices. No, my passport can remain in the safe! I have an ample supply of these little wonders in my bathroom closet, safe and sound. Not only that, but the price per unit on these exceeds even the best Canadian dollar exchange rate of the last sixty years. Such a deal!! In conclusion, in choosing to ignore the advice to use medium or soft toothbrushes, I lived with the dilemma of either compromising my God-given right to utilize the type of toothbrush that suits my reckless nature, or stretching the window of utility on my brushes far far beyond even what my suspicious and contrary nature deemed prudent and proper. I always suspected that the frequency of replacement recommendations was driven by corporate greed, and the firmness recommendations served the interest of the dental professionals that benefitted from the economic fallout generated by more frequent than necessary visits to avail myself of their services. Like the old saying goes, a patient cured is a patient lost. That’s not an exact fit here, but you get the gist of what I’m driving at. My gums have suffered no ill effects from the use of a hard bristle toothbrush, and the resulting level of oral hygiene is quite gratifying. Thank you Amazon, for allowing me to avail myself of the opportunity to resist corporate and ADA greed in one fell swoop, and do so at a reasonable price. The addition of brush head guards at no additional cost is a nice touch, one that the ultra squeamish amongst us will surely find appealing. No doubt, this would be configuration preferred by the likes of Howard Hughes and the fictional television detective Adrian Monk. In my case, the utility of such an option is questionable, but what the heck? At no additional cost, I’ll climb aboard that obsessive compulsive crazy train any day of the week, and take my chances with potential immune system marginalization. Living dangerously adds zest and relish to an otherwise mundane existence. Read more

As others stated, these seem cheaply made compared to the Reach brushes at the store, BUT they are very firm and make my teeth feel very clean! The plastic travel covers that come with each one is worthless (won’t stay snapped closed), but I didn’t buy these for the travel caps, so not a big deal for me! Gave some toothbrushes to my Father-in-law since he can’t find the firm ones at the store anymore! Read more
