I used this can opener one time when I first received it, and after a struggle, I did get it to work, and it worked well. I haven't used it since until tonight, or should say, tried to use it. It will not attach to the can to open it. Looking it over, it apprears the gear and the blade are too far apart for it to work. Fortunately, I had kept my manual opener. Since I waited so long to use it and figure out it's defective, I can no longer return it, which is on me. Today was the last day it could be returned. So, if you order one of these, try it out, more than one time, to be sure it's going to work. I had hoped for better results from it. I purchased the Salt & Pepper grinders set without the can opener. The Grinders work great! The grip material and easy press button is fantastic, the sizes are not to big and hold a good amount of salt & pepper, and I'd say the durability is built to last.
