I haven't had a chance to check the battery life of these yet. I need to find some of the things I have that use AA batteries so I can put them to the test. I have had a chance to check them out and charge them up, however. It is incredible to see how far technology has come with rechargeable batteries. NiCad batteries. tended to not have great lives, and you had to completely discharge them. They weren't great. These are Lithium Ion, and the box says they are good for well over 1000 charges. There are 8 batteries included, so you should be able to maximize that with a proper rotation. The case is very compact and it includes a cord for USB-C charging, which seems incredible to me. It's definitely a trickle charge that takes a while, but it will be worth it. There are indicator lights on the top to let you know the batteries are charging. From what I can tell, you can easily see which ones are charged and which ones aren't. The green lights on top will flash while they are charging and go to solid green once they are charged. If you are mixing and matching, you can see at a glance which ones are full and ready to go. I love that! The packaging was super compact as well. I'm very impressed with this! I either need to put these in my Xbox controller and have a marathon play time or put them in one of our little battery operated lights and just let it go to see how long it lasts. I have a feeling these will offer up a pretty good life span! If you have remote control cars, these would be perfect! Put in four, and have four charged and ready to swap! Read more

I ordered this for my husband so he could have them for one of his game controllers, since we go through a ton of batteries for it. This battery charger set is a great buy, as you can charge 8 batteries in 3 hours, and at once, for a pretty reasonable price. It also has an LED flashing light to let you know when they are charging, and a solid green light to let you know when they are done charging, so no guessing if they are charged…you will know at a glance. These come in a nice, compact, flip top magnetic close case, so no more worrying about whether the charger is charging, since the batteries have a dedicated slot and align conveniently and perfectly with the charging contacts when you close the lid. This is probably the most straightforward charging system we have used. I have charged these 2x so far, (for testing purposes) and our batteries or case didn’t get too warm while charging. It says in the manual they charge for 1200+ uses, so these should last us awhile. They performed just as well as our disposable/one use batteries. It comes with the charging usb cord, so all you need is a box to charge it or use any usb port or charging station or box, and the other end is the ever-so-convenient USB-C cord..so pretty much you are good to go! This is a great charger especially if you go through a lot of batteries like we do, and are in need of a reliable, compact, battery and charger set. We are loving it and definitely recommend it. Some of the marketing materials for these batteries claim that they have 2000+ discharge/recharge cycles but others say that they only have 1200 cycles. Regardless these seem to work fine so far. A 5V 3A power supply is required but is not included. It is relatively rare to find something with that much output current as most of mine around the house top off at 2A. At this price I believe a sufficiently powered adapter should have been included. In terms of charging I was pleased to learn that each battery is individually charged and monitored by the charging box. The directions stated that the LEDs would show solid green when fully charged but I found that the indicators did not remain lit after a while so I had to unplug and plug back in the USB cable to determine if the batteries were in fact charged. The other thing to note is that most devices will no longer show the actual battery capacity as these have a full 1.5V output until an immediate drop-off when they are needing to be recharged again. They don't follow the output curve of regular alkaline batteries. I prefer this constant voltage as designed, but just wanted to mention the drawback for those who need to know the remaining battery capacity during use. The value is fair at $40, but since the higher capacity 3600mWh batteries by this brand are the same price I feel that the others are a better value. Read more

These rechargeable batteries have been great overall. They come in a nice little plastic charging case that flips open. Inside you have the eight batteries in each slot. Be sure to put them in with the positive end pointing up or they won't charge. When you plug in the case to charge little lights come on above each battery to show if they are charging, charged, or have an error. They flash green while charging and then shine steady green when charged. Very easy to use overall. They have been great in my remotes around the house and my xbox controllers and things. I mainly use them in places where I was going through batteries a lot to help save on replacements. I like that they are so easy to use and very plug and play. You don't have to do anything fancy with them other than store them in the charger of course. My only critique is that they use the same charging cases for the same size batteries. I ordered two different mWh versions of AA batteries and the cases are the same. I have to be careful I am putting them back in the right case with their like kind for charging. Not a huge deal at all but kind of annoying. Other than that though they have been great. Read more
