I really love using this led mask. I am no authority on led mask technology but I can state some of the reasons this mask is better than another one I tried that was hard plastic. 1. Silicone is so comfortable. The hard plastic masks are heavy and require you to stay on your back because they will slide down your face and at least the one I tried had metal brads to keep the mask up and off your face leading to pressure points. This silicone mask allows me to move around the house and it molds better to my face w/o brads so I am much more comfortable. 2. I use the red light mostly and occasionally the blue. I love that it actually prevented the breakouts I get every menstrual cycle. I had a clear face this past cycle and that never happens (37 y/o). 3. This mask does not need to be plugged in. It has a battery pack that both the face mask and (if desired) the neck mask can plug into so it is portable. 4. This mask is relatively intuitive. But I will dock the mask 0.5 star because the documentation is really lacking. I charged the mask's battery pack (with the display) upon receiving it with a USB-C cord. Once fully charged, I used the USB-A connected to both the face mask and neck mask to plug into the battery pack. Press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds. From there it is simple to adjust the time and color using the other buttons. 5. Additional features I appreciate: automatic timer for treatment, battery lasts a long time (I have yet to recharge over my month of ownership), and it lies flat and thus is easily packable.
