The media could not be loaded. Where do I start? The beginning, I guess since it was an early Christmas present. And my wife’s excitement to try it was quickly replaced by our both being blown away at how easy it was to use (straightforward instructions, affixing the wireless battery, changing modes, etc). And recently, it’s become about her noting the “cool tingle on her skin” and gradually feeling better about her complexion…and me stealing some time of my own “behind the mask,” I confess… It’s so lightweight, even operating with the battery on that I nearly forget it’s on my face. It’s truly the perfect companion to Audible or whatever your audio book service. I expected it would be at least a little bit rigid, but instead I was surprised at how soft it was against my face. Zero discomfort. And I’ve learned to try a couple different light modes since my former-swimmer/lifeguard skin can use all kinds of treatments! As you can glean, I’m excited. :) I hear people talk about coverage being an issue with some masks, but this covers my face almost entirely, nearly to my ears. But best of all, I can use it anywhere- in any room of the house without having to consider being anywhere near an outlet. Honestly, what a value for the money! The ARIVEA Red Light Therapy Mask for Face is slightly different from the other therapy masks I own. It's mostly made of a light foam material that's flexible and the led lights are housed behind a soft silicone that's framed to help make treatment more comfortable. Interestingly enough, the magnetic remote detaches from the front of the mask easily and is the main power source for the whole mask, so that's the only way it will turn on. Thankfully little setup was required and the neoprene velcro straps included are super flexible and the only items I really needed to install was the soft, silicone eye protectors that easily pop into place. The only thing is, I have a very small face so I find myself fiddling with it a bit more than I'd like to help keep it from sliding down my face due to the weight of the remote. Although lighter than I expected, I still have yet to work out the fit as I find myself having to hold down the mask on the bottom during treatment , or even lying back to make it stay put. Either way, the red, blue, yellow and purple lights all have their purpose noted in the instruction manual and I appreciate the fact that they include the wavelengths to expect of each including the power of near infrared light as well. Granted, this mask doesn't deliver the power of treatment you'd get in a spa, it seems to still be working low and slow all around. Read more
