I love this little unit. It heats up super fast and is much more compact than my old curler set taking up much less space in the drawer and can even be packed in a suitcase for traveling. The design of this is genius the way the curlers stack one above the other with the clasp "clasped" around each curler. Others have complained in their reviews that the curlers don't slide up and out easily. This is a legitimate complaint, but I've noticed that with continued use this gets better. I only need to keep the curlers in for a few seconds, and wa la, great curls. The job is done so quickly. I highly recommend this set. Read more

Heats up fast, easy to use, long -lasting curl. Only complaint is that after more than a year of using them 2-3 times per week, some of the flocking has rubbed off toward the edges and they burn my fingers sometimes. Otherwise perfect. Read more

My fingers could not tolerate the heat from these curlers, I was determined to use them though, so I used a pair of heat gloves I had on hand for hot crafting, and wala, my finger tips were protected from the heat generated from the curlers, I curled my hair, and WOW, my hair looked amazing. Remington, really should provide heat shield gloves to protect fingertips, but overall, the product works amazing, and I’m super straight hair held the curl magically. Without the gloves, I honestly can not handle these hot potato curlers without protection, I solved this problem with gloves. Read more

I love the body & curls this set gives me but it’s unfortunate how poor the design of the base is. I agree with other reviewers comments in regards to how it is difficult it can be to get the rollers out of the base heating unit. It takes practice but it shouldn’t have to be that tricky. I don’t know how the designers of this unit let that pass. But with that said, I am going to continue to use the unit because of the great results I get. The curls and body stay in for several days and it’s very quick. I can’t achieve that with a curling iron. I’ve only used it a few times but I get better at mastering it each time I use it and I think it’s worth it. Read more

This gets really hot fast. It’s kinda hard to put the curlers back because you have to put the clips on the curlers and slide them down the rack. That’s my only complaint but other than that that’s a good set. Read more

I love these hot rollers. This is my second set. I have long hair and may need the extra curlers when I want really fluffy hair. The only downfall and why I bought a second one, is the ends can break off and usually there is no repairing. (I would have just bought rollers only if that had been an option.) I see complaints about not being able to put the rollers back on the base easily. This can be true. You just need patience. It is a tight fit but you need this in order for the rollers to heat quickly. If you don’t have time and patience to put them back right after use, leave them off and put them back on later. These rollers will stay in place on your head and make beautiful curls. Read more

The indicator light is lit the second you plug it in and never goes off so you have no idea when it is actually ready to use. The curlers are EXTREMELY hot. They are so hot it is next to impossible to roll your hair without using a glove. The clips are also extremely hot and require a glove to be able to hold them long enough to clip the curler without burning your fingers. There is no on/off switch or temperature selector so the only temperature you get is somewhere between fire and lava. The rollers are difficult to get on and off the heating element unless you have the clip exactly centered on the curler. I am shocked no one has been injured by this. Read more

!!!! This was the supreme hair rescue! I've used a variety of curlers over the years. To begin with, technology has changed impressively over the years ...and I've had enough years to have that perspective. My prior set required a solid 20 minutes to be super hot ...needed every edge with the length of my hair to create lasting curls. These heat in 90 seconds to HOT! No schedule planning required to allot heating time ....quick plug in and very hot before you even have your hair brushed for setting. Burning fingertips was another hurdle ...styled hair meant precariously risking burned fingertips. Required careful rolling to preserve those fingers, particularly so as ...I'm a pianist! ...Usually on my way to an event where sore fingertips, even for a couple of hours isn't an acceptable option. Again, instead I found these curlers VERY easy both with hair wrapping on the roller and then easy handling on the edges comfortably to roll-up without fear of burned fingertips ..quick, easy, swift rolling. I have never set my hair so quickly in my life, ever! The clips are a super design, clinging the wrapped curls with an easy-grip, solid hold till set - generally a challenge for longer length styling. There are two curler size options, both perfect for my longer hair ...and the supreme test was how long the curls hold ....hairspray isn't ultimately the decider on this according to my experience. With this set, my hair lasted all day and even reasonably overnight - tossing hair back over the pillow. Woke up with remaining waves and curled locks ....and this being with unprocessed hair that otherwise barely ever has a natural wave. The hold was impressively long, hours upon hours ...and without any touch-ups throughout the whole entire day into late evening. Enough volume and hold, keeping hair-clips/barrettes and style in place for long hours despite activities. For setting, I typically leave hair up while tasking, so it becomes 15 - 20 minutes set time, though less times are considered adequate. I really thought my days of wearing my hair down were totally over. Avoiding chemicals, my hair has no extra advantage of its own for enhancing style hold, no salon perms or waves ...and for quite awhile I've had to accept mostly tamed buns and clipped up styles in lieu of a more comfortable wear-down style which I would otherwise find far more suitable as well as a more feminine look. Much better on the locks as well rather than the constant twisting up into tight knots with multiple claw clips to keep fixed which cause breakage. This will be much kinder for hair health because this is easier on the hair, none of the constant reclipping to keep in place all day long over the course of the day. Set and forget ....nothing could be better!! This is my dream hair roller set ....And apparently my best hair days are not over with the Pro Hair Setter! Absolutely thrilled! The thick set volume is back and ...No salon visits, no chemical treatments and no burned finger-tips. Nice styling is still possible with this excellent Hair Setter! Wonderful!! Read more
