Quick to heat up. Can easily handle edges of these for rolling hair sections without burning fingertips. Clips are simple to use and securely hold rollers in place. I like the clips stored on each roller. Removing the bottom roller in the stacking configuration takes a little practice, but is easy enough. This is a large set that doesn’t take up too much space on the counter or cabinet. Read more

I’ve never used hot rollers before but I wanted to try. These are very quick and easy to use. They heat up fast and by the time you’ve finished putting them all in, you can slowly start taking them out in the same order you put them in. My hair is long, thick, and pin straight, and usually doesn’t hold curls well. What I did was I first put a styling/heat protectant cream in my hair, then brushed and sectioned it out. I put the rollers in according to a roller pattern chart I found when I googled Lauren Bacall hair pattern. I definitely didn’t achieve the Lauren Bacall look, but I still pulled off a decent look that I can wear out, and considering it was my first time ever using hot rollers, I think that’s pretty good. I finished with some hairspray and the curls held pretty well. The only complaint I have is that it’s kinda tricky to pull the rollers out of the base because they’re hot and they don’t really slide out too smoothly. Read more

Great roller set! When you first get it home, take it out of the box and let it air out for a little, then turn it on to allow the "factory smell" to dissipate off of the rollers. AFTER THAT, use it the next time you choose to heat it. The factory smell will still be there a little (like any new item), but the rollers do work well. My curls didn't hold but a few hours, but I also didn't put any product in my hair before using them to help hold the curls. But I LOVED the initial result. The rollers come organized and fit into certain size slots in the warmer making it easy to pick up which size roller you want to use. It's worth trying it out. Rolling the hair was easy and fun with the clips. Read more

This heats up quickly and curls hair quickly. You need to be careful to watch how long you leave it in or it curls too tight. The curlers are not real easy to take out. I have to wiggle them a bit to get them out. One of the top parts broke on one of the curlers already. Read more

I have used hot rollers to style my hair for years. I shampoo at night and let my hair dry naturally, then put the hot rollers in in the morning. These rollers work very well. Above, please see my before, during and after shots. This rollers heat quickly and the clips also heat up. This roller set includes a generous number of rollers and the two sizes provided were just right for me. My hair was smooth, shiny and bouncy after using the curlers. One strong "pro" is that this device organizes the curlers by stacking two vertically -- hence a more compact device. I think it will be practical to travel with. One minor inconvenience is that having the clips attached to the rollers and sliding them up out of the heating channel is a little trickier and will add a few minutes to the overall task. In addition, there is no 'on/off switch on the device, so I have to unplug it or turn the outlet off. A timer that shuts the device off after 15 minutes for safety would be a great addition. Still the beauty of that narrow, compact heating device and the effectiveness outweighs any drawbacks in my mind. I highly recommend this device. NOTE: This device is NOT intended to dry hair. That is a misleading question that reviewers are required to answer. Read more

I love these now it goes without saying it depends on what hair texture you have for anybody with ethnic or kinky coily hair I can't speak to if you leave it in your completely natural state but if it's blow-dried straight-ish these will give a great curls. You get to know your system so when they're hot and you got to pull them off the rod you sometimes you got to jiggle him a little but it's fine They really are easy to use I would say that if you have a lot of hair thick hair and hair longer than past your shoulders number one you might need two sets of these and honestly the the larger rollers they call these jumbo I would not consider them to be jumbo they're more medium to large size they're not going to give you tight curls but if you have longer thick hair you might want a bigger roller and I can't help you with that I don't know if they make them but as a basic set these work well for all types of hair as long as your hair is straightened to begin with Read more

Great roller set. I love that the clips heat up attached to each roller. Historically, I’ve always lost the little metal clips that went along with smaller sets of electric rollers. Unit is a little bit big, but it’s worth it to have everything all self-contained. Can’t see me ever traveling with this unit, however, because of the size. But I’d still give it a five rating. I can find other smaller sets for travel. Read more

I love the compact design and I liked the idea of the clips to hold the roller. However, there are a couple of things that could be improved. The clips do not grip the curler very tightly when the hair is wound on it. I have fairly thick hair, but I have to use very small sections of hair so that the clip will hold (much smaller sections than with a previous roller set). The rollers do get very hot if left for 10 minutes or so, which is what I need to curl my hair; however the clips and rollers are too hot to handle and burn your fingers when you try to use them. Maybe provide a glove or something to protect from the heat? Also, the rollers do not slide easily on and off the poll, so I struggle with that and it adds more time to the process. I would really love these if a couple of these issues were addressed. Until then, I wouldn't buy them again. Read more
