This is an amazing vest, the quality is top notch. The only thing that I struggled with is the fit. I ordered one up size and it was too large, the next size smaller fit well, but no matter what size of the two, the arm pit is so tight that if you want to wear it with a dress or shirt, it never laid right for me. I was having to fight with the under garment to ever lay right, because the design just didn't allow room for clothing in the armpit area. If it weren't for the struggle there, I would have given it a full 5 stars. I am keeping the vest, but I will for sure have figure out a way to hem or clip the underarm hole so that it can allow an under garment to fit and lay comfortably and not be all bunched up. Read more
I love this corset. There are lace up strings in the back and front, so you can adjust to fit your shape. Beautiful colors and fabric! It was perfect for my first Renn Fair experience. Read more
I’ll add pics later. Originally, I bought the Astrology pattern in an XXL and it was too large, it had probably an inch of room in the bust and was loose enough to crumple in the underbust/waist. It doesn’t have boning, but the XL mushroom print didn’t have the crumpling problem at all and was, in fact, able to lace quite snug. Both the astrology print and mushroom print have a crisp print, no fuzziness to the image, and feel well made. I haven’t noticed any loose threads. I didn’t realize the binding was more of a faux suede material unlike the rest of the bodice which feels more like a canvas or twill. My info: Bust - 44” Underbust - 38” Waist - 38” Read more
I received a lot of compliments on this bodice. I ordered a small and it was tight (I'm 5"4' 135-140 lbs). I loosed the ribbon on both sides to make it fit comfortably all around. The material is soft so I never felt stiff. The print is the "peacock" but the way it was sewn you couldn't really tell it was a bird unless you looked very closely. This vest is SO CUTE and I wanted to love it but it just fit awkwardly and the lace strings started fraying almost immediately. I almost didn’t wear it for one of my ren Faire outfits but with no time to spare I made it work, and I will say it did survive a long, hot day without failing me. I will also note that you can tie this up pretty good but it does not offer the same support as a conventional corset. The item itself is soooo gorgeous but just not the most practical unfortunately.
