These were a perfect replacement for the stock battery and offer a significant improvement in battery life. I haven’t measured the difference, but anecdotally my controller seems to last quite a bit longer. The Dualsense Edge has terrible battery life out of the box, I was seeing low battery after one session at times, and these replacement batteries significantly improved that. Installation is not simple and requires disassembly of the controller, so be aware of that when purchasing. Looks like a great little battery upgrade kit for those whom are running the PS5 Dual Sense Edge controller, which is an upgraded controller for more serious gamers. This battery kit is NOT compatible with your standard issue stock PS5 Dual Sense controller! So if you’re looking to upgrade your stock controllers this is not the item for you. I made this mistake while ordering but since I plan on eventually running the EDGE controller, I’ll just go ahead and keep these handy for when I do considering the biggest complaint about the PS5 Dual Sense Edge controller IS the battery life! Even though the Edge has an extended wire set up and a lot of hard core gamers will run them wired so there’s no lag, having a longer battery life would be ideal. I took away one star because the supplied screw driver for installation arrived bent out of the box, not really a big deal but I try to be super fair and honest in my reviews. This battery fits the DualSense Edge controller. It comes with the tools needed to unscrew and pry it open. It looks different than the original battery. It doesn’t have the plastic casing around it. Before I replaced the battery, I had the controller plugged into a charging brick all the time. The battery would hold charge for a short time. I’ve been using this after letting it charge and it is more or less as good as new. With two batteries I should be good for a long time and since the install is pretty easy the second time around will be even faster since I know what to do now. Battery holds charge. Works well.
