The media could not be loaded. So there's a lot to unpack here, so I'll do a quick review first and a long review extended! Short version, overall this looks great and feels like a really comfortable controller when you're done based on materials. The Last of us is a awesome game and makes for a great controller scheme (just a side note of course, unrelated to this non officially licensed custom item). This is not for the light of heart when it comes to electronics breakdown. I'd put this like a 4/5 on difficulty scale and you're going to want more tools than just what's provided. My only real complaint is that some of the replacement parts provided weren't fitting properly after reassembly. The two I had issues with were the options and share buttons as well as the rear touchpad backer plate (shown in the pictures). So I had to repurpose the originals. The D-pad was also OEM style, so I didn't use the new ones because lazy is why, don't judge. Instructions were non-existent, but you're WAY better off youtubing teardown videos...like a bunch of them, a couple times in a row too, and keep one on pause while you're doing it for reference. AND obviously the wood grain backer was some I did myself while I had it all taken apart (as well as upgrade the battery), so that's not included here either. Cool look, hard wrap, hydrodip if you go that route. Long version! So the included parts were all in really good condition and for the most part were an excellent fit. The hardest part is just how complicated this controller, and really any modern console controller, is to take apart. the look is absolutely awesome! I had some extra furniture vinyl wrap with a dark wood grain texture, it's not really meant for heat stretching...so it came out meh... but goes with Joel's guitar aesthetic perfectly. Overall I really like this case! The red satin chrome joystick bezel feels soft and rubberized, the rest feels sony quality if I'm being honest! Where it fell short was those fitment issues I mentioned above. The two front buttons for options and share both got like wedged in if you put them in all the way, and upon reassembly get all jammed up and press on the circuit board way too hard. It'll fit, but holding the controller too tight will hit the buttons. I also had an issue with the touch pad doing the same thing if I used the included backer plate that holds the mounting bracket on. It ended up sitting off a little to the side as well as wedging against the circuit board too, same way the other buttons did. Something about that little tab. What I ended up doing was using the new front cover plate with the logo on it (otherwise what's the point!?!?!?) and the original backer plate. On the new backer plate shown in the second and third picture there's a little tab that slots into the nook on the left of the front plate. That little tab I ended up sheering off thin blades to shorten it until it was about the same length as the new one so that it sat centered once you clipped front and back together. Now it fits perfect! There's always a chance I messed up something putting it back together the first time and I over reacted and wasted my time lol....but those options and share buttons in black DEFINITELY didn't fit... so yeah... Overall I wanna say it took me maybe an hour or two and this is my first time cracking one of these open. The vinyl wrap...don't get me started, that's attempt number two...freakin curves were HARD. But overall I'm really happy with it. It works exactly as it did before, looks pretty awesome, and feels brand new! Oh....now I that I'm done I realized my left stick has a pretty bad drift if you touch it lightly... so we'll be taking it apart ONE MORE TIME - Daft Punk Read more

This replacement front shell kit for the PS5 controller fit perfectly and made my old controller look brand new. The finish feels smooth, and the buttons aligned without issue. Pros: Precise fit, fresh look, quality finish. Cons: Requires patience to install. Bottom line: Great upgrade if your controller shell is worn. Read more
