Chair is awesome, super comfy, and very easy to make. Highly recommend. Read more
Good Chair for now I've had it for 2 months I think durability is unknown will be tested. The lumbar support is made for shorter people if your taller like me do not buy. I was able to fix it with the cushions of my old chair that are very comfortable. The cushions of the chair is ok not the best for comfort but as listed not a problem for me. The pillow is nice having it not attached and the arm rests are very soft. The foot rest doesn't go out very far and not very sturdy but I just put the feet of my old chair to fix that issue. The foot rest is good for sitting just not for laying back and putting your feet all the way out just good for a spot to sit them. The adjustable back is very nice I like it. Read more
This is my second Respawn. I was nearly convinced to spend $600 on a "different" brand this time around, but it would have been a waste of money. I do not regret my decision to get another Respawn. These are a great value. -Excellent large, laminated, color assembly instructions with words + pictures included with the chair that are easy to follow and make assembly a breeze. -I love that (if you want to), this chair can have a tight, upright posture. Most computer chairs are too "leaned back" for my preference. I like an upright posture. This is a great chair for that (although if you prefer it to be more leaned back, you can certainly have it that way too with the adjustment lever). -Great value for the money. I would have spent over triple the money for a competing brand, probably for nothing gained. -I've used my previous Respawn about six years now. It's still okay, but the arm rests do wear out and crack. I draped a towel over one of the arms because of the cracks and I still use it. The arm rests will also wobble a bit over time but that does not really bother me. -The "leather" (or whatever material it is) seat gets a little slick over time. I went with the grey fabric this time around to avoid the slickness of the leather (again, not a big deal but just to make note of). -The chair is comfortable and looks nice. I wish the chair was solid grey rather than with the black accents for better style, but it's still acceptable. I give this chair 5 stars for the money and I am so glad I did not spend more. For the money, I am greatly impressed. First impression out of the box is impressive. Packed well. Great instruction card - and it's a big card. Easy to follow. No need to really 'hold your mouth right' putting this together. It comes with everything you need and spare hardware - a big plus in my book. Once together - which took all of 15 minutes, I sat in it. And wow. This is my first 'office' chair purchase. I had been using chairs I already had on hand. So, this is a big game changer for me. I really like the color (dark grey) and the overall look of this chair. Two controls, one for height and the other for lean-back. You can lay back and sleep in this thing if you want. I am 5' 9" and weigh 185 lbs. It fits me very well. Rolls easily, supportive, and very sturdy. I may change the casters in the near future because I am extra like that, there really is no need to do so, as the casters are just fine for anyone not extra like me (humor) As for durability, that is up to the end-user. I take care of my stuff, so this should last a very long time. The height adjustment is smooth and has a great range. The back feels very comfortable and supportive. Overall 5/5 stars and I'll likely be getting a second one for my office desk in the RV. Yes it is a bit pricer than many offers, but I feel it very well worth the extra splurge. Read more
Comfy yet also uncomfortable. Pros: -Easy assemble -Parts seem to be of decent quality -The leg rest function is simple yet great -The lean back position is comfortable Cons: -The seat cushion is mediocre, I can feel the hard material below the cushion. (I weigh 235lbs) -Even when locked, if you use the arm rest to get up from a lean back position, it will force the arm to move which may cause damage -Seems a bit overpriced for what you get Recommendations: -if you can get this chair for below $200, in the $125-150 range, I say it may be worth it. Definitely not worth what I paid for it. Read more
This is not a great chair. It is a cookie cutter mold of every single gaming chair on the market, which all of them unfortunately seem to have the same issue, because they are all made by the same company, or made in the same style. 1. Its not very comfortable. The padding in the back is ok, but the but padding is badly done and ends up wearing down over time. 2. The " leather" feels like plastic and is somewhat abrasive during movement. The worse offender is the armrest. Not only is it not even remotely comfortable to lay your arms on, (by the way after a few months the padding will move around and flatten so much its almost not existent), it has become actually painful to lay my arms on. The mixing of it being the cheap plastic covering and the non existant padding, causing my skin to actually show abrasions after long sessions of game play. 3. The arm rest tends to loosen and will require it to be retightened. I have already striped a screw and can't tighten it anymore without replacing the screw. 4. Perhaps the silliest problem that I have with the chair is that the legs rest don't seem to fit an adult leg. It has one length setting and can't be adjusted, so if your legs are too long they are just going to hang all the way over the leg rest and its awkward. It also makes the chair dip an an angle when I have my feet on the leg rest and it makes my body slide down in the chair. The base isn't wide enough to give your legs room to spread out either so using it is just not practical. If you can find something better do so. I just can't recommend this chair. Read more
