I have young grandchildren, and as you all know they love to drink from your cup or should I say my big water cup/bottle. I've gotten them all their own little ones, but they always think my water is best. With the hard straws that come with the cups like in the picture, the littles want to walk away with the cup, but those hard straws are dangerous. I saw a report that shows these are harming children falling with the cup, and the straw in their mouth poking the back of their throats, and some pretty badly. This made me reconsider my straws and search here on Amazon for something different. These silicone straws are perfect. They are soft and flexible and should my littles fall with my cup, no worries, they bend and don't hurt or poke at all. So now I don't have to worry about them walking away with my cup anymore. The size is perfect, and you can cut it down if you need to. It has a closure for the straw so no leakage, they look great, much better than my old hard black one. They reuseable, you get a straw cleaner that comes with them, and a great value for the money with several straws to interchange while washing, or using several different cups. I have a Owala water bottle and the straw on the owala was the hard straw and it broke. I ordered these straws to try out and they are really good! Love the fact that they are reusable, also bends since it’s silicone. Love the fact that it has a cap on top so nothing gets inside. It also fits snug on the owala. I love these straws! They are easy to clean and I love the cap that covers the end. A brush cleaner was included. Very nice muted pastel colors. I chose silicone because the plastic and metal ones can do some serious damage in my mouth if I’m not careful when walking or driving .. I’ve crammed the roof of my mouth a few times with those and finally switched to silicone. These are awesome! Great quality and great price/value. I love these silicone straws with caps. I have a 40 oz Stanley and I drink water all day. My cup goes with me everywhere. I have tried multiple different straws and these are my favorite. These silicone straws are a great set overall! I love that there are six in the pack and that each one comes with an attached cover/topper — super convenient and hygienic, especially being a teacher and keeping my straw covered from germs. The OCD in me is especially happy that they perfectly match my cups, which is a small but satisfying detail! The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is just personal preference — I do prefer harder straws, especially for pushing through ice. These are functionally a little too soft for that, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker. They are thick and plenty tall for my 30 oz cups but would also fit 40 oz as well.
