I've been using this particular model and brand blow dryer for years and love it. The compact size is great for a suitcase. They do eventually burn out but it takes at least 5 years for that to happen. I came here to order 2 more because my last one was destroyed by a plumber trying to defrost my pipes. He used it on high for about an hour and now its not working well. I do love this product enough to buy again. Read more

I absolutely LOVE these dryers because they are fairly compact yet extremely powerful. They fit my hand and holding style. My main problem is they burn out too soon. I've gone through several of these; with daily use I've had a few hold up several years but others only a few months (or less). The switches are very badly designed and hard to move; I just leave the switch in the HI position and use the plug as my on/off. If you use the switch, it seems to burn out the dryer quicker - especially if you turn the dryer back on when it's hot. So my recommendation is use it till you're done, unplug it off, and don't use again till it's fully cool. Normally I'd seek a different brand when a product burns out so quickly..... but I cannot find any other dryers that I like as well. So I just continue buying these. Not at all happy with this hair dryer and now I I am outside my return window. I have not liked this hair dryer since I bought it, but told myself I would get used to i. But this morning it started blowing ONLY cold air and the high speed is barely stronger than the low speed setting. It did not even last for three full months. Before this, my complaints were: 1. The button to change from On to either the high or low setting really hard to move and actually hurt my fingers sometimes to try and change it. 2. It had NO protection from grabbing my hair from the back side of the dryer and sucking in my hair and pulling it out. 3. It was awkward and uncomfortable in my hand. 4. Loud compared to my last hair dryer. I am so frustrated. Now, tomorrow is Christmas Day and I don't have a working hair dryer. Granted it does blow cold air, but one.. that makes my head cold, and two, takes forever to get my hair dry. So now I have to go out the day before Christmas and fight the crowds when I have no time available and somehow get a hair dryer. Really disappointed in REVLON and their design and quality of this hair dryer. Read more

I purchased this for travel, as the blow driers in hotels and cruises usually suck, often lacking wattage and a concentrator attachment. Without a concentrator, my mid length wavy hair is a frizzy mess !! I do love the small size of this dryer, and the fact that it folds, wish cord was retractable or smaller. The weight of this dryer is actually 17 oz (or just over a pound, NOT 1.35 oz as listed). Compared to my everyday dryer which weighs 22 oz., I'm not sure the weight differential is worth the negatives. I found the concentrator attachment did not go a good enough job, as it's too wide, and kind of flares, which defeats the purpose, so my hair just blew around, not down my round brush, and turned out frizzy. It did dry pretty quickly, but not as fast as my everyday 1875w dryer, and I didn't see the "ion" steam come off my hair. If not for the cheap price, I'd probably return it, and keep looking.
