I cycle 1,000 mile a month year-round and I've tried about a dozen different face warmers and similar items. This is the BEST one for extremely cold weather, like under 20 F. If you use it above 20 F, you may find it too warm. Above 20 F I use a lighter-weight face warmer. This really keeps my face warm and preheats the air a bit, reducing lung and nasal irritation - your runny nose will stop by like 90%. It is very well ventilated and I've never felt like I couldn't breathe enough through it. This type of headgear is inherently uncomfortable but the ROCKBROS ski mask is as comfortable as possible and I've worn it for hours on end. The front pulls down well so you can take a drink. The part over your mouth and nose is somewhat firm and sticks out from your skin a decent amount, eliminating skin irritation. I use it without the white interior filter. The plastic vents do have a habit of coming apart so I recommend removing them and putting some plastic cement where they join and reinstalling them. The plastic nose bridge helps make a tight seal against fogging. I recommend wearing it high up on your cheeks, as that seems to improve the seal and eliminate fogging. Read more

Update: Rockbrothers made it right and replaced the mask. I did notice on the new mask that the valves were not tightened properly. So tightened them up before use, no more problems. Arrived on time but was poorly packaged. Was sent in just the plastic zipper bag. Not even in a box or shipping bag! Second day of use one of the valves fell off. May have been damaged in shipping. Only used it for about an hour the day before. Was very warm and comfortable the first use. UPDATE: Messaged the seller about the valve falling out through Amazon return application. Said I would get a response within 24 hours. It’s been 3 days now and still no response. I’m not a happy customer!!! Read more

So, overall, this is a solid ski mask! The pros are that it fits and feels great when you wear it as a baklava, or as a neck gaiter. The issues that I had with it are that there are these two circular clips on the front. I had a hard time keeping these on as they would fall off even before the hard core skiing. Without the circular clips, the mask isn’t as warm… So, I have just taken them off and use the ski mask without them as it’s fine unless its really cold, like below 10 degrees with the wind as without those clips, your cheeks take a dose of cold! junk. Gussets fell out first time out. Can't find them to put them back so now I have two big holes and filter can't be used. I'll stay away from Rockbros products. Read more

It looked warm for cold winter biking so I snagged it although it kinda looks like I am a soldier in Russia going through current Chernobyl hunting radioactive mutants. It does have a breather hole with a plastic attachment but don’t be fooled that is not a epic filter of any nature it’s just to allow air to go in and out of the mask it’s fleece, so yes it feels warm. It’s tight around the face and neck, which I do kind of have issues with Stuff like that which makes me gag when it’s pushing against my neck and the sides of my face. It has nerve reaction which causes gagging it’s a reflex. Maybe I should’ve bought a bigger size, but I bought it to hopefully put under a biking helmet, which I bought , but it’s too thick to do both but it’s good for snow blowing in being outside has room to attach goggles over your eyes. It’s not bad still a little pricey for something that really isn’t that expensive to make it fleece but a little bit of plastic no big deal. Read more

I finally found a Balaclava that actually does what it claims! They said it wouldn’t fog up my glasses, they were true to their word. It has a flexible metal band across the nose that helps to keep your warm breath from reaching your glasses. It’s very soft, very comfortable, very durable. I highly recommend this item Read more
