This laptop stand is an absolute beast. From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by its packaging and robust construction. Installation is super easy and it has a nice weight to it. It feels incredibly sturdy, holding my laptop at the perfect height and angle above my dj controller. The open design also allows for excellent airflow, keeping my laptop cool even during long DJ sessions. Read more

After toying with a "DAW-less" music sequencing setup with a Novation Circuit, I got a Novation Launchpad MK3 and set it up with three of my synthesizers: My Uno Drum, my Yamaha Reface DX, and my Arturia MiniBrute. The Launchpad (LP) can run four tracks, and I had also recently bought a Novation MiniNova, but I didn't have the desktop space to set it with the three other synths. For a long time I looked at PC monitor risers, but they're so bulky I worried the riser alone would take up a lot of desktop space and thus leave me back at square one, then I came across this. As a laptop stand, I would only trust it in a permanent setup, and only if it wasn't near the edge of a desk/tabletop. With it's different points of adjustability and thin frame though, you can see it worked nicely to lift one of my synths up and allow a fourth synth to be placed under it. My only slight gripe is the width adjustment of this stand is limited. If you look at the photo, my MiniBrute synth is a fair amount longer than a laptop, but the stand's width adjustment is maxed out and you can see it can't reach the ends of the Minibrute. That being said though, the MiniBrute is sufficiently balanced and supported by this stand so I can't complain. The stand had more than enough height adjustment; I'm able to easily read and reach all of the controls on my MiniNova, which is sitting below the MiniBrute without having to flatten or contort my hand at all. In fact, I initially set the height TOO high. I had oodles of room to reach under the MiniBrute. While the stand still held up the MiniBrute nicely, with no wobbling or the like, I decided to lower the height a bit and am glad the stand at least has that much adjustment range. So as other reviewers have said, yes, this stand is thin metal, so it wouldn't hold up to road abuse. It's not easily taken down, which further discredits the stand as a portable unit. But for a situation like mine, where you have a small electronic unit and you need it elevated to a height that you're able to place another unit under it, this stand may work well for you (in a permanent setting). As for parts quality, yeah, this thing is cheaply made, I can't hide that. I didn't have any problems at all assembling mine but I can see how easily quality can drop on this stand. Do note my points on the width adjustment of this stand. For small synthesizers, such as 24-37 key synths, this stand will hold them up nicely. I feel that you could balance a lightweight device such as a 49 key MIDI controller on this stand, so long as you don't play aggressively on the controller. But I don't think the stand would hold up to anything longer or heavier, like a 61 key electronic piano or a higher end synthesizer with a longer keybed. My MiniBrute is a solid little unit, but again, this stand holds it up very firmly and steadily and I'll trust it to hold up my other synths (Akai TimbreWolf, Novation Bass Station II) should I decide to move synths around in my DAW-less setup. I wasn't sure that this stand would hold my Moog Slim Phatty but it does the job well. The metal that stand is made of is bendable which allowed me to straighten it out a little. It looked crooked after assembly but that proved to be no issue. This is only $20 so you really can't expect too much. My only gripe is that I would like the front 2 arms to be adjustable, I would like to move them back about 4". I might cut them off and drill a couple holes to achieve this. All in all - really good stand for the money! I did end up cutting the front 2 shelves about 4 1/2" back and bolting the front 2 lip pieces under the remaining shelf piece with bolts on the sides to shorten the shelf and move the Slim Phatty back. It's way better now! Read more

Sturdy. Easy to assemble. Holds my deck perfectly so i can play without having to hunch over. Light weight so it's easy to take anywhere but doesn't fit in many things so you either have to carry it by itself or take apart and put back together. Read more

I don't travel with this- just making sure I preface with that. I bought this because I wanted a laptop stand for my desk with a very high rise to get my screen at eye level. I have experience in AV, so was familiar with this style of stand- I chose this one over the similar Pyle model because my experience with pyle is hit-or-miss. It's fantastic! very sturdy, good build quality, and size and configurations are awesome. Great packaging with closed cell foam, NOT STYROFOAM make it really easy to incorporate this into your tech kit or any other flight case. thick gauge steel has me convinced this is definitely a roadworthy piece of kit. My only marks for it are: - On assembly, one of the width extensions had a really bad thread. I was able to work through it, but it was a bit of a pain verging on considering a return. It had either got shot with paint or was not deburred. - You get one set of little non-slip foam stickers. one. So either use it on the bottom "feet" or put them where the laptop goes if yours doesn't have rubber feet where the supports lie. but only one or the other. I ended up using some spare adhesive-backed foam for speaker grill surrounds and it works great, just keep it in mind if you laptop's bottom is smooth. Read more
