Absolutely Awesome!

Me & my daughter just came back from a 10-day tour through Europe. I was looking for a light suitcase that would qualify as a carry-on on the plane. Well, this totally fit the bill. It's extremely light & fit the requirements of international carry-on luggage because we measured it in the bends they provide at the airport. We were in and out of hotel rooms, dragging luggage down cobbled streets, boarding trains, and running through airports. I cannot say enough about his luggage. It is small, but if you pack smart, you can make it all fit. I had 4 pairs of tights, 2 pairs of shorts, 1 pair of blue jeans, 8 pairs of socks, 6-8 t-shirts, pajamas, underwear, a jacket, a pair of shoes, and 3-4 sweaters - plus a small bag of makeup and then all of our toiletries shrunken down into small containers. Please note that the zipper part on the front will take up room that would otherwise be available in the suitcase, so one side of the suitcase is more shallow than the other side. On the "shallow side," it's just a zipper compartment, that's it. I was freaked out when I saw that, but it worked out okay. I actually put my pair of shoes in the front zipper part along with my ipad. The silver handle did scuff on the plane, but it was minimal. The ease in which the handle went up and down was awesome. There's two settings for the handle, which I appreciated because I'm not tall by any stretch of the imagination. The wheels were very durable and didn't make any noise. They turned and glided with such ease it was almost like a waltz. If you can pack light, get it. Worth every penny. The only other thing that I can't attest to is if it fit in the overhead compartment on the plane because we had to check our luggage at the airport since all the overhead bends were full. But I saw bigger suitcases and carry-on's get on the plane than ours and they fit just fine. I'm sure we wouldn't have had a problem. Read more

Perfect spinner for business trips

This is one of the best spinners I have owned(and I have owned a LOT of them). From being trendy, to being functional to easy accessibility - this one has not let me down yet. It's been overseas and on a couple of business trip. I do really really like this for not having to carry laptops in a backpack (I mostly have to carry two at a time) and just keep light items in my backpack while keeping all the heavier items in this luggage and still being able to organize(it has a lot of pockets) and access things neatly. Didn’t even make it to check in before it broke

Extremely disappointed. I purchased this for my Father in law who is retired but travels a lot and works as a consultant for my husband’s business. He needed something light weight,, durable, and functional to consolidate his items for business trips. I spent a lot of time looking for the right solution and we were excited to give him this as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately it was a terrible choice, very poor quality especially given the cost. He did not even get one trip out of it before the wheel broke. Just walking form the car into the airport. My 71 year old Father in law was left to try and maneuver a broke piece of luggage through the airport, worst yet due to the unsteadiness caused by a missing wheel it tumbled down the escalator at full speed like a missile swept a gentleman off of his feet and plummeted into 2 others at the bottom. When he returned from his trip we could not request a refund nor a replacement that we were not able to contact anyone, nor able to request a refund or replacement as there is limited time to do so and he was on an extended trip. Totally unacceptable given the circumstances. This was a gift that was supposed to make his life easier which caused a whole lot of unnecessary grief. Save your money and buy something that you can actually get some use out of before it falls apart. Read more

Sturdy and can take a beating

I have had this carry on for at least five years now and travel at two or three times a year to Germany. With all the travel, going through security, shoving it into the overhead compartment (I also checked it voluntarily once), it is still going strong. The wheels are still as good as on the first day, the body still looks like almost new - a few scuff marks. But what I like most is the fact that it has a laptop compartment. I don't understand why it is so hard to find a reasonably priced carry on with a laptop pocket. It is so convenient and quick when you go through security. Please note - I have been traveling with an American airline to Germany and back to the States, so I never had to worry about the correct dimensions. Last May I traveled with another, German based, airline and had to change planes and airlines in Frankfurt. For the first time ever they asked me to place my carry on into the sizer and it didn't fit exactly - not by much. They let me take it on board after arguing that my laptop was in there and by law it cannot be in the checked luggage. So, if you fly to Europe with an American airline you shouldn't have any problem, but if it is a European airline you may be asked to check it. Read more

Holds multiple Laptops/Tablets -- up to 17"

OMG! The designer of this piece of luggage had to be a woman! It's FANTASTIC. Holds my 17" laptop AND my 13" tablet, has pockets and slots for my JetPack (Hotspot), stylus, pen and all the required external components (mice, power packs). And that's only the laptop compartment! Plenty of room for all the required clothing items in the other compartment. I love it! Can't beat the turquoise color option I got either. Only took out the tablet to go through airport security, TSA Pre-Check (having two computers in one bag ALWAYS results in a TSA search of the bag). I love the hard sides of the luggage without the metal look. Kudos Rockland. You rock! Read more

Wheel snapped off

So I loved this suitcase, it is pretty roomy and the wheels move nicely, however a wheel broke very easily on it. Not even sure exactly how it happened but one minute I was rolling the suitcase and the next a wheel was snapped off of it. Maybe mine was defective but I’m annoyed that I only got to use this twice before it broke... Read more
