These boots are incredibly comfortable and sturdy…that’s a difficult combo. I ordered a half size smaller after reading reviews on sizing and that was the correct decision. They fit perfectly. The side zipper is a little wider and the zipper pull is larger and stronger than other brands I’ve owned, which makes operating it very easy. Heel height is great for jeans. Back of the boot seems to have extra support, important for my ankles. Leather quality seems to be good; I’ll know more about that after I’ve worn them first a few months. The half size up was too big and the whole size was too snug, so welcome the wide fit and it was perfect. For one day, walked around in them at home to break them in and they were ready for a full day of work less than 24 hours later. They hold up like a champ. Quality is great, beautiful design. The footbed is cushioned and the toe box is roomy. The boot flexes easily with a soft heel instead of a block hard heel. The heel height is 1 1/2 inches tall. The leather is not top quality like I've seen in past Rockports and the front of the ankle is fairly stiff which caused it to dig into my ankle a bit. This boot is comfortable and easy to walk in. I have a wider foot so order my usual size 8.5 W. The shoe fits perfectly and is slenderizing to my foot compared to other shoes/boots I own. Very happy with the purchase. Read more

These were very nice boots and especially for the price in my opinion. Leather and nice color (I chose brown). They just didn't fit me. They are pretty stiff - but because they are a nice leather, I think they will loosen up as you wear them. Zippered side. Easy to put on and take off. I blocky, short heel. I wish they would have worked for me! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.
