Having spent over 25 years standing on my feet in the hair industry, now retired, I struggle to find suitable footwear for church that doesn’t result in me limping to the vehicle after services. I practically live in Brooks tennis shoes and even so when I worked, so when I tell you that there was no question when I found these cute white boots that I would buy them, I speak the truth. About three years ago, I was looking for a summer shoe for the same purpose, and discovered Rockport. Had always mentally viewed these as “old people shoes“ but found some adorable gladiator style wedges that are also available through Amazon and fortunate enough to find the first pair for a steal. I now own three different colors of that particular shoe. My shoe size in everything is always an 8 1/2 . I was somewhat pessimistic because my right foot has a bunion that is forming and arthritis in both feet. I decided to stick with the 8 1/2 bit also purchased the 8 as well to try for sizing. I ended up sending the 8 1/2 back. I listened to the reviews and recommendations for sizing down and did so. An 8 in the shoe and in this boot fit me perfectly. I am not a person who leaves reviews on much of anything, but the structure and fit of this brand tells me it is a quality made shoe/boot and I am beyond satisfied with them!!! The leather is soft and the shoe well made, except the front ankle top, where it hits your shin, is always causing friction to your skin if not wearing higher socks. I'll keep them and hope thick socks help. I am usually a 8.5, but heard they ran tighter, so got a wide, which fits perfectly. Unless you have very narrow feet, get the wide. They look great! The boots are soft genuine leather with a side zipper, and rubber sole. The boots run large. I had to size down a half size for them to fit. I wear an 8, but I bought a 7 1/2, and they fit well. They are comfortable and the heel is an ideal height just enough lift to feel like a heel, but not too much to feel uncomfortable. Read more
