Yet another rebrand of the popular Rimei clone of the prewar Gillette Tech razor. Also sold under other brand names over the years (my original was branded Concord). It's relatively mild but reasonably efficient and friendly for beginners. If it's not efficient enough for you try using a sharper blade. Fortunately the seller packs a nice assortment of sample blades from several popular brands. Nice package and price. Just be careful of the corners; the side edges of the blade are exposed and the corners of the base plate can catch on things. This is 100% true to the original Gillette design. Read more

This razor is great. Yes, it's dirt cheap. But what do you think Gillette spends to provide you a nice handle. Not much. It's the blades they make their money on. Well, now you control the blade supplier. I say that because this razor is all anyone ever needs. Yes you can spend more on DE shaving and I have. But I will say a properly designed razor will always deliver a good shave and this is properly designed. It's a copy of the Gillette Tech probably post 1970 back in the era when they sold DE razors. So it's a proper design. Get yourself a sampler of DE blades or go with a mid sharp, but smooth blade like Lord Platinums, Shark Platinum, Personna Blue or Red Even if you never venture outside of foam or gel from a can - pro tip - hydrate that stuff wet your face first and rub it on and get a little more water and rub some more. Slickness delivers a great shave, whereas an inch of dry foam does not. Want an even better shave pick up a cheap synthetic or boar brush for less than 25 and a good soap like any of the Cella, Prorasso, PDP or VDH Luxury. Only fools turn up their noses at this razor. Decent razor and a bit more aggressive than a vintage Gillette Tech. The blades that came with the razor were good and provided a satisfying shave with minimal skin irritation. Read more

Paired with a heavier handle and a Big Ben (maroon) blade, I got an incredible shave first time with this razor. I couldn't even feel the blade - it was like I was just wiping the whiskers off my face. This thing mows 'em down! Got this to replace my lost Rimei, and it seems to perform even better. Tech-style head which is medium-aggressive. Great for when I just want to do a quick, single pass shave. Great blade selection included, too. Awesome starter kit! Read more

Very thin amd and light saftey razor. Well packaged and good value for the price, this is a very basic razor, if you're looking for Muhle level quality...then spend the money on one, but for a simple lightweight razor this works fine. Handle and shaving head are well matched, just extremely lightweight. Extra blades alone are worth the price, so a nice bonus. I think this would be a great gift idea for the male teenager just starting to shave or a newbie to saftey razor wet shaving. Recommend. 50 grams. Read more

First, this is a pretty efficient/aggressive razor. This is more aggressive than the other two ROMAN EMPIRE razors I have, which were also very good. This also comes with 20 premium blades that are fantastic. I'm not sure how they even make money, but with these razors anyone can get a very good cheap shave. You do not need to pay a lot for a good razor. Read more

Nowadays it seems that drugstores only stock plastic, disposable razors. I don't care for them; I'm concerned about them ending up in landfills. So, I was happy to discover this razor which uses blades. It's inexpensive, sturdy and attractive. I also like that it came with 4 packs of 5 blades. I tend to be a creature of habit (I buy one brand and stick with it) so I have the opportunity to test other blades. In conclusion, it's a great buy. No regrets. Read more

Got it today and immediately tested. Despite it was a 8th shave for blade it really gave me a smooth and deep shave. Would by this again. Recommended. Read more
