It works well and is long and flexible enough to reach 6-8 inches into a candle holder. This lighter works very well. These are great lighters. I love how easy it is to light a candle, etc, with the bendable aspect. However, they have a very short life on how many times they can be recharged. In the set of two that I had, I used one a total of about 10 times, and the other about 15 times. The first one was charged initially, and then after suddenly dying when just sitting on my desk, wouldn't charge again. The 2nd was kept charged most of the time, except when in use. But it died in under a week. The worst part is that it's not really clear when they die. You can charge them, but there's no real indicator that it's charging. Mine, that sat on my desk, I charged for a day. It went to 3 bars. I pressed the button once, and it was at 2 bars. Pressed it again, and it was at 1 bar. Then it's dead. Excellent lighters, but worthless with the trash batteries included. Read more
