Great all-around barn boot in sizes for small feet!

After searching for and trying on other brands of women's all-terrain riding boots, I found the Roper Kiltie! So many brands start at size 5.5 or 6 and they are too big for me even with a thick sock. Roper Kiltie starts at size 5 which is perfect! The boots were comfortable straight out of the box and feature thick laces with hooks at the top of the boot for easy on and off. The Kiltie boot has a nice footbed with an arch support and a steel shank, making the boot feel extra sturdy for walking as well as riding. The decorative leather piece at the base of the laces is removable if I decide to lessen the "western" appeal to the boot. I have not tested if my feet will stay dry on a rainy day, but I can always waterproof the leather if needed. I'm so happy that Roper makes a small size for women because kids shoes just don't have the same comfort and durability that an adult shoe has. Crossing my fingers that these last me a long while! Love, Love, LOVE THEM!! Bought my last pair over 20+ years ago put them through hell and back. It was time to retire them. Love the new look and they feel super comfortable and snug. I’m sure I’ll enjoy these for the next 20+ years. Now that I’m older I know I won’t be so tough on them. Very satisfied. Read more

Love these boots!

I bought my first pair of these Roper Horseshoes in 2003 because I was riding horses. I loved them and they were so comfortable that I began using them for yard work, too. They have a nice arch support, roomy toe box and rubber heel and sole that are firm but cushy. They are good work boots with a tennis shoe sole. I only wear them on weekends, but they are so sturdy they lasted me 16 years and I'm on my second pair now. Read more

Second pair

This is my second pair of the Horseshoe Kiltie boots. The fit is as expected. They are a little stiff at first and I wish the padding around the ankle was just a little less but overall this is a nice boot for the barn and casual wear. Yes, you can wear spurs with them. Read more

LOVE!

I will continue to buy these over and over! I've always loved them. So comfortable and durable. My last pair lasted me about a year and I wore them 6 days a week taking 20,000 steps a day as a horseback riding instructor. A lot of the time I prefer to ride in these than my cowboy boots. Great for ranch hand work as well. Read more

Good quality..no ventilation though

They are a little on the heavy side does not have much ventilation in them as it makes my feet sweat, I also have heart problems which make it harder to move my legs but if I were in great shape these boots will be great which they are great nothing wrong with them just I'm not in the best of shape because they feel so heavy on my legs but I do like them and they seem to be a good quality , I've had Ariat which they are lighter but then they fall apart about 3 months afterwards. I would definitely buy these again and I don't buy Ariat anymore because the souls kept falling off with a great pair of leather on them still but these seem to have Outlast those. Definitely roper is probably the best that I've seen yet. Read more
