Make sure you fill the water all the way to the top. After the water freezes, the mold will have expanded to the point in which the plastic and rubbery parts slightly separate from each other. This process will then help with the extracting of the ice from the mold. If you still have problems extracting the ice, I found that the "sharpening blade" of a typical kitchen knife set is the perfect size to assist. Just shove that blade down the cap/chimney of the mold and the ice should just pop right out! Read more

These are great. My husband previously had round molds that were very difficult to remove the ice ball from. I would purchase these again as a gift. They are also easier to fill than the previous molds that we were using. Read more

4 stars. Do they make huge balls of ice, easily? Yes. Easy to fill. Easy to empty. It is nice that the LARGE iceballs last longer than smaller cubes. The less than 5 stars is due to the condition that the ice balls are not clear. I have no idea how to get clear cubes. I'm using them. They are ... fun. Read more

I don't frequently use ice in drinks, but when I do, I don't want ice that's been sitting forever, it has a funny taste. These little guys keep the constant airflow out and the bottled water goodness fresh. Added bonus is if you puree some berries or fill them with your favorite juice when you fill them, you can add some flavor to your water bottle or simply not water down your juice. You definitely do not want to go beyond the fill line, because the water will expand and push the cap off. Made that mistake once when I accidentally put a little too much water. They seem pretty durable, easy to fill and fit anywhere in the freezer. Read more
