We have a Great Dane and a Mastiff. I ordered this bed on prime day but honestly had such low expectations because I haven't had great experiences ordering dog beds online. This honestly blew me away. The quality was so much higher than I anticipated. Even the weight surprised me, it is around 30 lbs. It is also bigger than I expected. It's also so comfortable that I'm probably going to borrow it when I play video games lol. Everything washed well too! You have to remove and replace the bumpers after washing so I just laid down a washable waterproof pad (just in case) on the sleeping area then threw a twin size fitted sheet over the whole thing so I won't have to wrestle with removing the cover as often. As another reviewer mentioned, I also wish I had ordered another when it was on sale because none of my dogs like sharing beds. It fits my giant dane perfectly. She loves to cozy up on the bolsters. I think she feels secure that she wont fall out/off. She can also spread out if she wants and she is about 32" tall at the withers. The only heads-up about this bed is that it is listed at 13". It may be if you measure the height of the bumpers and mattress combined. The actual mattress, which is so very important for the joints of the giant breeds, is maybe only 4 inches but seems decently supportive. When I step on it, I don't really feel the floor and I'm around 113 lbs. I actually feel the floor LESS when I step on this bed than I do when I step on the twin size memory foam mattress that this is replacing. We have a Kopeks bed (big barker dupe) for our mastiff and while the mattress is thicker and seems more supportive than this bed (I hardly sink at all when I step on it), they don't like it as much because there aren't bumpers and it is quite firm and high. It is really good for the joints, but they just don't seem like they feel secure on it. He'll only sleep on it if it's next to a wall or something. If I could combine the mattress of the Kopeks bed WITH everything else about this bed, it would be the best bed for our pups, hands down. But that's probably just being too picky. The mattress on this bed seems passable for the giants. I definitely recommend and I'll buy another for the mastiff if they go on sale again. Read more

We have multiple bed option all over the house, this one is by far my dogs favorite. It is nice and cool he doesnβt get overly warm laying on it and it is really comfortable. My pup loves the pillow and likes to hide stuff from his brother under there to save for later. Even have to tell my Kids to let the dog have his bed back sometimes! The only thing I was an option would be to order additional covers for the bed. I needed the jumbo size and keeping the dogs away from it well the only cover washes is a headache, especially with the pillow as it looks like a giant dog toy!π€·π»ββοΈ Read more

So I have three dogs and we live on a farm. I was throwing away so many dog beds because after a short time of wet dogs, dirt and mud the stuffing would smell and you canβt get that clean. I found this bed and decided to try it. Wow. The cover can be removed and washed weekly and the bedding is protected with a water proof cover that allows me to spray it down and wash over it before placing the clean cover back on. I will say itβs nice to have clean beds that donβt break the bank every month. Well done Read more

This bed is massive; it's as wide as a twin mattress and just over a foot shorter. And it is THICK. The bolster sides are very soft, not a ton of support. But the mattress itself is sturdy and holds a lot of weight. My dog is a 115lb (down from 125lbs) geriatric lab mix. He's old and achy but this bed provides relief and comfort. The only cons are that the cover is not removable (despite a zipper being present) and that the color is FAR more BLUE than it is gray. There is actually enough room for me to lay next to him in this thing but apparently he thinks that's crazy. I guess he's allowed to invade my space but I'm not allowed to invade his π€£π€£π€£β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ Read more

I buy a lot of dog beds. More than the average person as I run a private in home dog daycare and am often replacing as they're well used. I've not been happy with any large enough beds for my female greay dane ... she's huge. 165lbs and way over my head when on her back legs. I also have a number of guest great Danes too. This is the first bed that actually gives them room to stretch out or cuddle tight. I like the fabric for cleaning needs, the color is neutral tone, and after 24 hours out of the bag ... it's VERY thick. I highly recommend and may end up buying a few more. Read more

This is the only large dog bed my crazy dogs haven't demolished. I tried another brand that was plush and they destroyed it within a day of receiving. Not sure if they haven't destroyed this one because of the material, but it is holding up well. I have removed and washed the cover twice now. It was relatively easy giving the xl size of the bed. My pup waited anxiously for me to pry this out of the plastic bags. It was very compact and heavy, but we managed. We got the large. It's great that it's waterproof and washable. Some of the reviews state that it isn't washable or you can only spot clean. Maybe different sizes are different? For size reference, Violet is a 28 pound bernedoodle puppy. She should be able to use this when fill grown. Bernedoodles run HOT, so she loves the cool feeling of this. Read more

I am a dog breeder of 3 different breeds. We have purchsed every size. I have not had one last less than 6 months which is A LOT for a multiple dog household of bulldogs to great danes. I just bought a new one as my dane ripped hers during whelping. It lasted 3 litters and about 1000 washes. Plus it doubles as my bed when I sleep in there after pups are born. Totally worth it!! I have had zippers break in 2 but they were chewed and not the beds fault. Read more
