NOT a gimmick!
I did a lot of research before I decided to buy this plate. $350 is a lot of money to spend, but after breaking my wrist, my doctor said I had osteopenia and I am very close to osteoporosis in my hips. I talked about this with my chiropractor and he recommended a vibration plate that would Oscillate at between 28 and 38 Hz. All my research indicated that life pro was the best solution so far, I’m very happy. I use the vibration program most because of my primary target (bone density increase), but I have used all modes at one point or another. Build quality is excellent. This thing is robust, and with the lifetime warranty, the $ seems like it will be well spent (I got suckered into the extended warranty, which will probably be a waste of $$!). The table is quiet in use, though as the speed increases, it does get louder. The electronics are pretty intuitive, though it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that the speed can’t be changed until the program starts. Now I know! I love the remote control, though I almost immediately changed out the wrist strap for a Velcro/nylon one because I personally do t like the snap-band style that comes standard. The exercise bands and “lifting” bands that attach to the machine seem to be good quality, and I love that they come with a band so everything stays together. My machine didn’t come with the advertised “yoga-type” mat, though. The first time I used it at the best therapeutic speed for my treatment (speed=30), I definitely felt it the next day, so it is helping! It’s lot a gimmick, check out the research!
