I love skincare and self care in general. I was a bit intimidated by this roller at first, but once I familiarized myself with it/how it felt it wasn't scary at all. This arrived quick, nicely packaged in a studry white box, surrounded by foam. A nice velvet cinch bag is also included and is great for storage and travel. This would be a great gift for any skincare junkie and it would make a nice item in a skincare set/gift basket. The roller has some nice weight to it. The head has smooth and even movement. (Just make sure you keep the joints clean and don't let products build up in there or else it will get stuck and that could be painful). The only thing I noticed that is less than perfect is that the gold has started to flake off a bit. I'm not sure if that's due to something I used with this (a serum with acid maybe?) or the alcohol I clean it with. Whatever the case it's a but of a pain that the finish is peeling. Now, when used properly, this doesn't hurt at all- it actually feels really good! It's a derma roller and NOT a micro needler so this is not meant to damage the skin in any way. It is very easy to get used to using, so don't let it scare you. Just use the pressure that you are comfortable with. You don't have to press hard at all to get the acupuncture benefit. If it hurts then you are pressing too hard. I have used this on my face, and I definitely like it. I also use this on my body and I absolutely LOVE how it feels. I have other tools like this one that I use to and thought that this model looked like a sturdier version so I decided to order it. It is heavier duty and larger than similar face acupressure massagers I have but the spikes are sharper and more pointed. It can be painful if you use too much pressure or are not experienced with this type of device. Read more
