I have been wanting to buy a plastic welder for a while now but price kept me away. I just cannot justify paying $200 for a blow dryer or soldering iron with special attachments. Finally I came across this product. For the price I did not expect much. I received the RX plastic welder kit and everything was neatly packaged and labeled. This kit comes with everything that you would need. I used both welders right away to fix a cracked steam mop. They both heat up very quickly. The bumper welder basically heats up instantaneously. It also cools down instantaneously. It worked amazing. In my opinion I don't see a way that this kit can be improved. I highly recommend this to everyone who is interested in fixing things instead of throwing them in the garbage. This kit paid for itself with the first use and then some. I only used six Staples and a couple inches of welding rod. This is by far one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. I have used it a dozen times at this point and it works flawlessly every time. With the bumper welder, install the staple, place it on the plastic that you are going to weld, pull the trigger, with light pressure hold until it sinks into the plastic, release the trigger and pull away. All that is left is to trim the staples with a side cutter and sand flush. Definitely 5 stars!!! Read more

I didn't know what to expect from this but thought I would give it a try. We had a Robot Coupe food processor in our restaurant with a shattered plastic housing. The replacement part was $400, so I had nothing to lose by trying to stitch the parts back together with this plastic welder. It didn't take long to learn how to use, but I do think there are okay ways to use it and fantastic ways to use it. There's definitely some learning to do with the tool and with the plastic you're trying to repair.
