The media could not be loaded. The only tip I have for you in running this smart outlet is to make sure the outlet itself is located close to your wifi router. For whatever reason the outlet needs to connect in a strong way with the router to ping off your phone and the app. It runs on the Safety 1st app which is pretty straight forward and runs all their smart products. This smart plug has a lot of great controls built directly in the Safety 1st app. You can set timers to turn on or off devices, independently control each outlet, set schedules with specific triggers based on time, your local weather, or on other controls connected to other smart devices. You can set timers and even use Alexa to control them. These plugs are so versatile and very easy to setup. I have set mine to turn off my daughter’s bedroom light and turn on her night light on school nights to signal bed time, turns off her night light in the middle of the night, then in the morning it acts as her alarm by turning on her bedroom light on school days. She prefers light alarms to sound alarms, so this is perfect to control the lighting in her room. With the right settings, this is a powerful smart outlet. If I could give this 0 stars, I would. Terrible app, could not get it to connect after multiple tries. I've used other brands of smart plugs that connect in less than a minute, so it shouldn't be this difficult. Would not recommend this product at all. Read more
This was easy to connect, ONCE I figured out you need to click the blue device when it says "pairing" or "finding device" I tried months ago and couldn't get it to work then tried again and realized I'm a dummy and didn't complete setup. So if you're having problems connecting, just touch the blue device on that pairing screen and then it completes setup! Now that I have it working, it is working great! so easy to turn my kids lamp on and off. The little blue lights are BRIGHT though so keep that in mind if you need a dark room. Read more
This is a nice addition to my split level house. I can turn lights on and off in the lower level to light up the house when it is dark. Easy to install the app and set it up and easy to use to turn on/off. The only thing I wish was that you could set up a time on this to automatically turn lights on/off as programmed. Read more
I've used other wifi outlet smart switches before and this one is the best I've used so far, its simple to set up. You'll need to load the App on your Cell Phone and link them together. When I pull into my driveway I open the App and turn the house lights ON before I exit my car. Read more
The smart plug just works- allowing you to switch things on and off without having to access them directly. My only complaint is that it's a little bulky, so I had to use an extension on the other plug in the outlet in order to keep access to it - but if you've got a lamp plugged in behind a couch or whatever you should be totally fine! It took about 5 minutes to set this up on my android phone. Good product, reliable so far. I'll update if that changes! Read more
