I picked these up primary for use during my long runs. They have a very airy, lightweight feel to them and I find that they stretch well even during long strides. I'm very tall and relatively lean and found these fit pretty accurately, plus the zippered pocket on the side is a nice touch. It provides a lot of peace of mind knowing that your phone or wallet is tucked away safely and won't fly out while you are running or moving around. The quality of the construction is also impressive. The drawstring is sturdy and the tips appear to be made of metal rather than cheap plastic which suggests they will hold up well over time through many wash cycles. Regarding the fit I am 5 feet 10 inches tall and weigh 260 pounds with a 42 inch waistline. I ordered the XXL size and they fit great. They provide enough room to move without being restrictive. If you are a similar size to me and prefer a slightly looser or baggier feel you might want to consider the 3XL instead. These quick-drying workout shorts are a solid, affordable option for exercise or activities near water. They did a good job at wicking moisture away from my skin and dried pretty quickly, making them perfect for travel. I appreciate the style of the shorts as they are fairly simple and understated. No big, bold logos or anything. The length was perfect. The zippered front pockets seem to be holding up well and are a nice touch to prevent things from falling out of the pockets while in use. I plan to use these for hiking as well during the summer as they seem perfect for that type of activity. The only thing I didn't love was how long the front drawstrings are and the fact that there wasn't much give or elasticity in the feel of the shorts overall. Some people may like that fit but it was slightly constrictive for me.
