I bought a Salbakos bath sheet years ago and have loved it. With that in mind, I bought for these hoping for more of the same. These are just as good as my towel and I'm really happy with them. They are not the softest wash cloths I have ever encountered but they are still very soft. If you are super sensitive though you might not like these. They are very absorbent, just keep in mind when washing them no fabric softener and no fabric softener sheets! The softener essentially adds an oil barrier that keeps water out, and that's the last thing you want with a wash cloth. I have had no problems with piling or any lose ends so far on a cold heavy duty wash for about 5 washes, if this changes I'll update my review. The towel I have has had no issues either with this over the years. Not gonna lie though, they so seem to shed a lot of lint in the dryer, especially the first time, but its becoming much less the more they are used and washed. Overall I recommend these wash cloths. I expect they will last a very long time from prior experience and are definitely worth it. Read more
I actually ordered these washcloths for decoration. I wanted some plush washcloths to roll and place in a basket in my bathroom. These certainly filled the bill. They fluffed up when I washed them, I rolled them, arranged them in the basket, then placed 4 white and 1 pale blue puffs at the bottom. They look like something on TV or in a magazine. Now if I have overnight guests, I can offer them one of them and they'll think I pamper myself like this all the time!! (Our little secret!!) These are really nice washcloths, well stitched and strong while remaining soft. They are thick enough to be plush, but thin enough to be usable. I can't stand a cloth that is too thick! I checked out every towel on here and elsewhere before ordering these because I wanted something that would last a while and that would stay soft for a long time. Plus wouldn't cost me a fortune either. I ordered these in both the rose color and the green color with matching hand towels, washcloths and bath mats. Color was consistent in all of them although I ordered at different times. The rose is more of a rose pink than a bright pink like in pictures but the green is pretty much the color in the pictures. I've washed them in vinegar and laundry soap and there was a little loose lint and pink fuzz in trap but not as much as I thought. They came out feeling even softer than when they were new. They say they were made in Turkey and are 700 gsm . I compared them to some old Canopy towels that felt like the same thickness as these. I've had the Canopy ones a long time and they are no longer as soft as I want them. I think I goofed over the years on the Canopy though and put dryer sheets in with them a few times and you aren't supposed to use fabric softener with towels as they can't absorb water afterwards. I got the towels, hand towels and washcloths and all are nice and soft and such pretty colors. Read more
These washcloths are ok, and they are actually quite nice for the price (12 for $24.99 at the time I am writing this). They aren't as thick or absorbent as high quality spa washcloths. They are comparable to what you would find in Target, or perhaps the high end of what you would find at Walmart. But for this price, you would have to be crazy to expect more. Sadly, I did have my fingers crossed that these would be top-of-the-line material, but I was disappointed. The top notch quality I was looking for can be had from Turkish manufacturer Wamsutta. However, their washcloths go for around $10 per towel whether you buy them from Amazon or a brick & mortar store. FYI, I am not an employee of Wamsutta and I have no connection to them whatsoever. Love them! Nice, well-made, traditional washcloths, and without an annoying pattern or stripe stitch into them, too. These washcloths are not thin and flimsy like so many other inexpensive washcloths. And the nicely textured, folded, finished edge seems very sturdy, so I anticipate that these washcloths will be durable over time.
