We use these at music classes for my toddler and she LOVES THEM. I put them in oversized Easter eggs for an egg hunt that’s toddler friendly. My girl LOVES THEM! She has a blast shaking them along with music. It’s great for kids 6 months-4+ the colors are fun, they’re painted like bugs and she thinks it’s so cool. They’re perfect handheld size just like a normal egg. Great music maker. Read more

I almost didn't buy these because of some negative reviews I read, but I'm glad I took a chance on them. Today is Easter, and my daughter turned 9 months old. She is completely enamored with these-- especially the yellow one. All day, she has been crawling past all her other toys to get to these. The set came as pictured, and the painting and seams are clean on all of them. I will not leave her unattended with these because they obviously COULD break open, but I think they will hold up as well as you could expect of a hollow wooden object. In fact, she's sitting on my lap as I type, happily banging two of them together, and the paint isn't even chipping. I saw one review from a disappointed customer who said these are not quality musical instruments, and it's true-- they do sound more like a baby rattle than a real egg shaker. But as a music teacher, I have to say-- if you look at anything with a ladybug painted on it and expect it to sound like something you'd find in a professional musical ensemble, you're really setting yourself up for disappointment. My younger elementary students would love these; however, I would opt for something plastic that I can sanitize for my classroom. Super cute addition to my girl's Easter basket, though. Read more
I love the fun colors and designs. These shakers have held up well over several months of play! Awesome open ended play option. Read more
This was a great addition to my 14 month old’s Easter basket this year. I loved that they were super affordable and I’m always looking for this type/style of toy, especially at a great price point. My baby loves to hold and carry things in his hands all day, so these were perfectly suited for that, and of course fun for music time, too. Don’t expect much as far as the durability of these go, however. The second time we played with them, two eggs split wide open across the center seam. He hasn’t been exceptionally rough or hard on the eggs, but had dropped them from baby height a few times on ceramic tile and engineered hardwood flooring. He was supervised when they broke open, so we were able to clean up before the little pieces went into his mouth. My father was able to repair them with some wood glue and my son still loves them. I still feel like it was a worthwhile purchase, especially for the price, just be cautious if you have hard flooring. Read more
Bought these as an Easter basket stuff for my 6 month old. I was on the fence about these as they seem pretty simple for the price but went for it anyways and happy I did. I love the Montessori concept and this is exactly that. The quality is really great and my little one loves shaking them like maracas. They’re good for motor development and the perfect size for her little hands. Honestly became one of our favorite toys and since it came with 6 we kept them all over the house for an easy toy to grab! Read more
I bought these after seeing them during baby story time at our library. They're hand sized for my ginormous baby, and have a rattle sound when shaken. I figured he'd play with them for at least a couple weeks before moving on. I was wrong. This has become one of the favorite toys in our home. Months later he's finding new ways to play with it. First it was a fun way to make noise. Then as he figured out how to sit up on his own, we would spin it on the floor for him and he had a great time trying to grab it. My child is fully mobile now and very active, and my days consist of fishing these out from under the furniture. We have hardwood floors in the living room and it's perfect for these. They spin like tops, which my baby can't resist. He must catch and kill it, which typically results in it being smacked around the room. It rolls very well and turns into a crawling toy. My velcro baby is right in the peak of his separation anxiety stage, and his aunties can still lure him off my lap by spinning one of these. Read more
