These are the best pain patches I have ever used. They are very well made, very easy to put on, and are well worth the price. The price in fact is a great price for what you are getting. I mainly got them to use on my lower back, but some times I use them on my shoulders. When I do use them on my shoulders, I just cut the patch in half and apply. They work very well. In a very short amount of time I feel relief. So glad I bought them!! Read more

Better than the ones with menthol and be sure to buy the flex patch type. Always clean and dry the area before applying. Also any body hair should be removed to avoid discomfort of removal. They need to be applied to flat areas and may not hold on knee joints or any area with joints that bend. They are made to stick but not cause pain when removed Read more

I haven't been sleeping well lately, so my neck felt stiff and sore. I bought a gray patch and applied it. It felt cool at first, but after a while, it started to feel hot. The next morning, I could feel the stiffness in my neck loosening and softening. However, the adhesive was weak, so the patch fell off while I was sleeping. Read more

I love those! I actually got for when I have menstrual cramps, and they work so well! I keep these always in stock now! The patches are super easy to use. Take one out of the package and remove the paper backing. Do be careful not to let the patches fold and stick to itself. Once you’ve removed the backing, I stretch the patch a bit and put it where the pain is. They work for several hours for me and I usually don’t need another one after. Good quality, they don’t break or anything and are strong enough to stretch. The size is pretty good, covers a good area. Would recommend Read more

These patches are a miracle for sciatica pain relief. The patches are huge and super gentle on the skin. I started buying these when my pharmacy was out of the prescription strength patches my doctor prescribed and these honestly work just as well. As someone who has been hospitalized for pain and experiences severe boughts of vomiting from intense flare ups, these patches have saved me! These patches are super strong and the cooling effect provides instant relief that lasts. It’s truly an unbeatable value for your money. Read more

I was thrilled with these patches, but unfortunately, I developed an itchy allergy to the adhesive. I can only use them on occasion, for 6 hours max. Contrast that to RX Lidoderm CQ (brand & generic), which I wore nearly 24/7 for a decade. I use Lidocaine 4% gel all the time on my back, so it’s not the lidocaine, it’s the adhesive. They do stick so much better than the Rx generic 5% lidocaine patches, though . Salon Pas patches are 4% lidocaine, but if a patch doesn’t stick, you get no benefit, no matter what the strength. I haven’t noticed any difference in results between 4% and 5%, but the difference in skin adherence is huge. I use these horizontally to cover my lumbar discs, L3-S1. Speed of relief: NOTE: It takes 48 hours of continuous wear to achieve steady-state levels of analgesia, so don’t judge before that. With the Rx version, then you can go 12 hours on/12 off after that, while maintaining steady state, but I wear mine 24/7 when I have back pain. Lidocaine patches don’t offer instant relief, they’re better suited for longer term use for chronic pain conditions. For immediate relief, buy a 4% or 5% lidocaine cream or gel, apply a thick layer, wrap the body part in Saran Wrap and wait 90 minutes. Then, remove the wrap, wash/wipe off all the excess, let your skin completely dry for ~15 minutes, then put on your first Salon Pas patch. That’ll give you a big head start on getting to steady state. I’m a former pharmaceutical rep in pain management, that’s why I know about the blood levels, etc., and I have a few tricks up my sleeve. ;) Be sure to follow the instructions for applying, by popping the film apart in the center, sticking that on and then carefully peeling the film one side at the time, to avoid the patch edges sticking to itself (it doesn’t come apart).
