I used this during a beach trip and I was amazed at how much more comfortable this rash guard is than the others I've used. I thought the thicker material would be hot and not breathe well but it actually kept me cooler and more comfortable longer. It also did its job of keeping the run from scorching me. The fit is snug but not overly snug. I was able to do paddle boarding and other water activities without any discomfort throughout the day. We are constantly on/in the water and sometimes it's too much with the sun, so a good rash guard is necessary. I've had many over the years, but honestly I think this one is my favorite! This took a minute to arrive, but it was so worth the wait. It was folded down neatly, wrapped and sealed in plastic. There was a (really nice) branded hang tag attached to a silk branded tag (in the guard) upon arrival. There's also a paper materials and care tag behind that, but it's very easy to remove. This material is heavenly! I love a good nylon/spandex blend and that’s exactly what this is- 80% Nylon, 20% Spandex. It's super soft, almost silky feeling, but it doesn't have that cheep shine to it. It's nice and stretchy, doesn't chase my skin and it dries really quick. The material isn't super thick where it's bulky (it makes you look bulky), but it's not the paper thin stuff that gets pulled into every crease and highlights every bulge. It's quite slimming actually and considering the light color, that's a nice bonus. For as soft as the guard feels, it isn't easily pulled or damaged. I can't tell you how many times I've brushed against something with this on, fearing the worst, but it still looks/feels brand new. Oh…and it doesn't hold onto spots or stains either. I wash this is cold/delicate (usually in a garment bag) and hang it to dry. No spots, stains or pills. Construction is phenomenal. Every stitch, surges, seam and hem are all strong, sturdy, clean, even and well done. There are no loose or rogue threads and there's not a single poorly cut thread end or blob of end stitching. None of the surges run against you or dig in either. Im 5’7”, 128lbs and 34B. My daughter (who I knew would want to wear this too) is 5’8”, 147lbs, 36B with a long, lean, athletic frame. I ordered this in a large so we could both wear it and because I like my guards a bit roomy (not skin tight). Sure, the large is quite loose on me, but it's SO COMFORTABLE! It's easy to get on and off too, which is a bonus. I love this so much though I might order another and I will probably get myself a medium. The large fits my daughter perfect and she literally looks like a bathing suit model in it. It hugs her so well and she says it's incredibly comfy too. The fabric of the rash guard is a blend: it says on the tag that self is 80% nylon, 20% spandex and contrast is 91% polyester and 9% spandex. I chose size XS and it stretches and fits snugly without feeling tight. The fit is more relaxed around the waist. I like the sleeves stay in place because of the thumbholes. The material dries quickly after getting wet, and I don't feel hot wearing it. On the tag it also says assembled in Mexico. It has UPF 50+ protection, enough to stay at the beach for several hours on a sunny South Florida day. I wear it over a swimsuit at the beach or by itself when I go for a walk. The sleeves have a print of palm trees and yachts on a light blue background. I hand wash the top in cold water as instructed by the care instructions on the tag. I avoid using bleach or machine drying, as the label recommends. I like that it functions as both a cover-up and a protective layer. It feels light and doesn't trap heat the way a regular cotton t-shirt might. Read more
I use this to layer over my bathing suit top, since I don't feel like it would offer enough coverage to be a bathing suit top on its own, especially with the white ships all over it. The material is soft and nice feeling. It dries quickly and keeps the sun off. It's good for being in the pool or the ocean because then you don't have to constantly worry about reapplying sunblock all the time. It's also very compact when you fold it, so it's easy to keep in the car or travel with. The print on this one is not quite what I thought i was getting but it's okay. But these work great for the extra sun protection! Definitely a must have for swimming or a day at the waterpark. Read more
Great quality, nice material. Nice when worn over swimsuit top. Fits snug when ordering true to size. I ordered my usual size going by the size chart and while it fit ok it was a tighter than the model photos appear. Not my style personally as I'm not comfortable in form fitting clothing and should have sized up. Price is in line with others of similar style and quality. Read more
This rash guard is a great rash guard for those who like to surf or swim. It is good for water sports because it is NOT a sun shirt. This is very form fitting. Most people will think this fits too tight unless you have a similar figure to the model or okay with form fitting, snug swimwear. I love it for swimming. It's hard to find functional swim guards that are long enough in the arms and have thumb holes. That and the tightness help prevent drag so it's essential to own a shirt like this if you want to have sun protection and actually be able to do your sport in the water. I love the color! It looks great on me and I just love everything about it. I usually have about 38in +/- 1/2in for bust size. I think I have a 31-32in rib cage and similar waist. I do have about 40-41 hips. This is a long rash guard and fits long, but is not too tight at the bottom. The proportions are excellent, especially for taller ladies. I'm 5'10 and this fits wonderfully.
