THIS IS THE BEST MARCEL/WAND/CURLING IRON I HAVE EVER USED! I have used Marcel stove irons for years and it just got so hot in the room & it was so bulky...then I started my search for a great Marcel iron. I started with “the # 1 selling Marcel iron in the US” (that’s there slogan, I won’t mention brand, but there so well known & reasonably priced). My hair would not keep the curl, In 2 hours it was straight again. Then I thought ok, i’ll Invest some real cash and get one of those fancy white ones with gold trim from Sephora. Not a Marcel, but Left my hair nicely finished but curls flat by the end of the day. I went through this search for about 6 months and 8 irons later... I tried cheep ones from Walmart, ones with fun barel shapes NOTHING. Then finally I found SAM VILLA. This marcel is AMAZING! I was worried it wouldn’t get hot enough, because It said it gets to 410 but HOLY WOW. The low setting was hotter than the 450F of other brands! I have used it for 2 weeks and never needed to go beyond the lowest setting. It has 3 settings Low, color treated, & high. to give you an idea of how hot it gets, In low setting I can sprinkle a little water on it & the water will sizzle . It keeps my curl for DAYS. It has a great feel in the hand, the Marcel clamp is so well designed it will hold even the thickest sections. Has a 9 foot swivel cord, optional locking Marcel handle, and the absolute best is the removable Marcel clamp turning it to a wand. 2 amazing irons for the price of one. This curls weirdly, like it is for a left handed person..it turns the opposite direction. It also has no cool tip on it, which makes it impossible to use, as you have to use it two handed. This was a birthday gift, and the return window has closed in under a month so i cannot even get a refund for a poorly made product. Read more

i'm so glad i purchased this marcel iron. it heats up incredibly fast, and I was never good at using a clamp curling iron.. but this thing is like magic for my novice hair skills. the ease of use and the options to make it a wand are amazing... and the best part... it curls so fast I am done in 1/10th the time I would with a clamp iron. Does not spin freely making it very difficult to use smoothly thereby takes up time costing cutting into bottom line. Both grip and handle are too tight. Liked the silver barrel and over all finish but I need my tools to move quickly and freely. Read more
