These radios are awesome. We have used some very expensive name brand radios for years. They have not been the most dependable or durable. To replace one cost close to $400. I found these on Amazon as a set of 9, yes 9 radios, for around the $400 mark. I took a chance and bought a set. The communications is so much clearer with these units. I left one turned on overnight to see how the batter would last and when I came in the next day it still showed 1/2 charge. Our expensive radios had trouble talking from inside of our metal freezer to the front office. These Samcom FPCN30A units have absolutely no problem communicating from inside the freezer. Though I don't recommend that you try this at home, our maintenance team has already dropped one of the units a couple of times from around 5' with no ill results. As a 30 veteran electronic technician, I am impressed with the features and quality of this radio. I had a couple of questions when I first fired them up on a Saturday so I fired off an email to the company. In just a matter of minutes I had a response that answered all of my questions. If you are looking for some new radios, give these a try and you won't be disappointed. I have worn he BT earpiece for a few days now. I absolutely love the convenience of no wires to get in my way as I work. I can even take my radio off my belt and still be connected as long as I stay in close proximity to the radio. I plug it in to charge overnight and put it on at 5am when I begin equipment set up. It stays on and in my ear until at least 5pm, when I go home. As you can see it is lasting 12+ hours on a charge with moderate use. That is awesome. On the transmit side, the sound is awesome, better than any of the other types of earpieces. It is extremely muffled. I do love the comfort of the earpiece and the fact that it has small holes in it to let some background noise in. I wear it for 12 hours a day with no real discomfort. Bought many of them, and used them at kids camp. They hold on good. One of them lost its antena, but I think it is due to how people take care of them Read more

These radios seem to hold up to our use very well. I had 3 other radios 2 started out good then one at a time just quit, the company replaced a couple but by the time the replacements arrived more had quit so I sent the whole lot back and moved on . the other one just had terrible sound. I ordered 9 of Samcom's FPCN30A radios and they started out good so I ordered 3 more, about 5 months 1 could receive but not send, customer service was taking care of this when another had a belt clip failure and broke the screen. Customer service took care of both problems and all radios are working great! We have 12 radios on 10 acres and keep 2 radios for backup. We work at a Recycling center so a lot of time there is a big pile of steel between us and they still connect very well. We are very happy with these radios and will be getting more as needed. The only change I want to see is for Samcom to add Bluetooth built into the FPCN30A along with a wireless Bluetooth shoulder microphone because with the wired mic the wire is a hazard for us , getting in the way and catching on stuff in tight spaces. I have used wireless mic's that use a piece that plugs into the radio to connect to the wireless mic but they have been unreliable as to how long the charge is on the adaptor part because sometimes it last all day (12hours) other times 3 to 4 hours. the mic itself seems to stay charged a couple days but is useless when the other part go dead and you don't know until you realize you can't get a response from anyone ! Kind a made me mad when this kept happening and I've tried 3 different brands with the same results. If Samcom will make a radio with Bluetooth built in and a wireless shoulder mic for it there stars will go to 10 !! Samcom has been great to deal with and very helpful, I will continue to use there equipment !! We have now been using them for just over a year and they do a great job !! Read more

This order is my 7th group of Samcom two way radios that I have purchased in the last year and a half. I am a facilities manager for a small school district and I decided to try these out at one of my schools about 18 months ago when my MUCH more expensive radios started wearing out. We have been very pleased with the range, sound quality and reliability of these radios and the price is great. We use them every day and they are a tremendous value. In this 18 months I have purchased about 50 radios. I had a small problem with one, very possibly caused by the user. I contacted Samcom and they couldn't wait to send me a replacement, no questions asked. Other than that there hasn't been a single issue. I highly recommend these radios. Read more

When I ordered these radios I needed them to come on time. They came even earlier than expected. They are well sized not too big and not too small. Fits comfortably in the hand. The charging time isn't too long and battery lasts to use throughout the day. So far very pleased. Read more

We purchased a 9-pack of these 2-Way Radios. I used them a few times prior to Covid for events where we needed good communication. They did work (Not the clearest audio, but they did work) and the range was good. However, after sitting for a year, one would think you would be able to simply charge the batteries and use them. No, not the case. 6 of the 9 batteries charged fine. The other three batteries would not even charge or be recognized when plugged into a charged. I tried using the chargers that charged the other 6 no problem and it did not work. Tried swapping them out and put them into the walkies that did charge when the other batteries were on them and nothing. So the problem is definitely isolated to the Batteries themselves. So now I am down to six working walkies, not the nine I paid for. Curious to see how long the other six last before they decide to not charge at all. Once they die, you have a useless walkie that becomes a paperweight. Very disappointing. Read more
