I received my tv today and was able to set it up myself on the stand. The stand is all metal and very sturdy. Its telescopic and can tilt left/right/up/down and even in a circle! Connecting it to my wifi was a piece of cake. People are whining about a dim screen, but if they read the instructions, it clearly states "the screen may be dim if the protective film on the samsung logo or bottom of the product is not detached...remove the protective film". Because of the reviews about a dim screen, I almost didn't purchase this tv, but I'm so glad I did! The speaker is behind the tv and has great sound, the picture is very clear, too. You will have to create a samsung account to set up the tv (I did not register my credit card during set up...that's insane!)....so I had my laptop next to me and created a new account within minutes. If you are on the fence about this....don't be....it's a very nice set for the money! Read more

I have trouble sleeping without background noise. I used to just watch my IPad but it started to crash and it was too old for updates or new downloads. I decided a tv was the way to go but they all seem to have stupid legs on either side. Not a good idea if you want to put it diagonally atop a dresser. This has the center pedestal I’ve been wanting. Yay! I don’t need regular TV since I can easily access all the apps I normally watch. Netflix. Hulu. Prime. HBO. But then there are a bunch of apps I never knew I wanted including a very TV like app that I guess is Samsung TV. Now I can watch various music stations. Old movies. Channels dedicated to single shows that show episode after episode. Nothing you would normally seek out but a lot of things I used to watch before getting rid of cable. So many options. I feel like I haven’t even cracked the surface of the amount of entertainment at my fingertips. Now I just have to remind myself that I still need to go to sleep and stop app surfing. I did give the remote a lower score because it is almost too basic and when I did drop it the batteries flew out and riled under the dresser. Ugh. But I love this TV/monitor. Great product for the price. Read more

I had a 32" monitor for a few years that was connected to my cable TV and my Amazon Fire-Stick. It was nice but it had TWO VERY disturbing problems. The images were stretched vertically a bit so all the people looked tall and skinny. Possibly because the resolution was only 720P. Plus the biggy was the audio volume was really low. I finally got tired enough that I sent for a replacement monitor with 1080P. Got one and it had the same sound problem so I sent it back. One of the many great reasons I love Amazon.com is most of their stuff has free returns! So I sent for # 2. Same results! Then a THIRD one with, you guessed it the same results. But I kept looking and looking and looking. I found a Samsung M5 32" monitor with "built in speakers"! Course all the 4 others had speakers but even with volume maxed it it was pretty low. Got the Samsung M5 on Wed, the 11th. Plugged it in & connected the cable TV and Fire-Stick. The remote has 2 raised buttons near the bottom. I learned the one with a + & - were volume controls. BUT when I pushed it like every other button on every other remote the only thing that happened was a small window with "MUTE" came up. Pushing it again a larger window came up that had "Monitor Speaker" (singular not plural) plus "19" which was obviously the level. NOTHING I did raised the volume even the Quick Start sheet was NO GOOD. Companies are so cheap they don't send the entire printed manuals any more. The Quick Start sheet had an 800 # which I called. They explained that the 2 raised buttons could be pushed IN like all other remote buttons BUT they could be pushed UP or pulled DOWN. This controlled the volume!!!!!!!!!! Why they don't explain this in the Quick Start is beyond me! In over 30 years of using remotes I have never seen this before. It works great! All my cable TV & Fire-Stick channels are not at similar levels. I love the Samsung M5 mainly because I can control the sound volume to a usable level. Samsung has an M7 model which is a newer version with much high resolution & it has the same terrific remote. My BIG complaint, and it's a HUGE one is the Quick Start guide makes NO mention of being able the raise/lower the audio level. Buried among the info it gives a link to DL the full manual. Cheapskates! Pushing the +/- key in only mutes the channel and shows the audio level. Or I can use the Samsung remote to mute. The Cable TV remote mutes correctly. Lastly people still appear tall and skinny which is irksome. Read more

Great monitor and TV. Has way more features than any 32 inch in the market. The only features missing are headphone jack, RCA out, and optical out. Fortunately you can purchase the CAMWAY Digital to Analog Audio Converter that gives you all of them and works flawlessly. Update 11/22: Cannot believe all the negative reviews. Still works flawlessly. Wife did not like Tizen however and I attached a Roku Express that I already had. Read more
