First of all, I'd like to say that I think that 99% of reviewers on amazon lately are only the ones who want to leave negative reviews! Fortunately even after reading reviews, despite the negative comments, I felt this soap dish was inexpensive enough to take a chance on, so based on the way it looked and where I wanted it, I chose to order this one! After having my bathroom gutted and remodeled in a somewhat art deco style, my tile guy forgot to install the ceramic soap holder that I had purchased to be installed with the tile in the wall of my tub. I went to Amazon searching for a mountable soap dish that would fit into my art deco/ 1920s themed bathroom. I saw this one and I loved the way it looked. I read the reviews and a large number of people said that it wouldn't stick to their bathroom walls. So, I ordered it despite what I read, it was on my front porch a day and a half after ordering it, I read the easy directions ( who ever commented that the broken English instructions were difficult to understand, must not read English as their first language!) I followed the directions to a tee, the soap dish affixed to my wall and has been there since I discovered it had been delivered, unboxed it and read the installation instructions! Easy peasy lemon squeazy! It holds the weight of my bar of soap, doesn't come off with steam from the shower, and I even bumped into it with my knee while showering and it didn't come off! Had a great experience with the seller; Sent me instructions (and tips) on how to install before receiving the product. Several days after installation I found the Soap holder on the bottom of my shower. The rubber (that holds the unit on the wall, etc.) has torn apart from the holder. I am very sure it was my fault of over tightening. I did, however, follow instructions. Just be careful when you twist the apparatus that is used to install the holder. Don't over tighten. Maybe a sticker on the unit stating (not to overtighten) would be a good idea. Seems obvious, however, the instructions stay to tighten (again) after a few hours, so it gave me the impression to go tight so it will stay on the wall. Furthermore, It did not rip (or feel like it was going too) at the time I tightened it; it was several days later. If you don't overdo it -- You should be okay. It's a great product, looks nice and seems very sold when installed. I like it; if not for that, I would have given 5-stars. Unfotraully, I have to purchase another one unit. Our 70s era shower has a handy built in soap rest. Handy if you want your soap sitting in a pool of water and constantly having water flowing over it forcing you to go through soap way more often than need be. This is the perfect solution. Easily mounted this on the back of the shower in under five minutes. Directions are clear and easy to follow. Clean the area you want to stick it to, put the soap dish on the wall and tighten. Then tighten a little while later. Soap now stays dry and the holder has yet to budge. **Update** I've bought an additional one because my first worked so well, however this one didn't go up as easily. It took three tries and two fails before I finally got it to stay put. I believe it was purely user error, certainly not the product. If it doesn't stick on the first attempt, rinse the black part that goes against the tile or surface to be mounted to, let it dry and give it another go. Once it stays several hours it should be good. I've had neither fall since and would be happy to get another. Read more

Last purchased Apr 30, 2018. It is 7.5 years later and I'm here to order more. First order is still perfect and never lost suction. I simply need more. That is about as high as a review as I can give. No brainier buy for me. Read more

This is the second one I’ve bought. These are pretty awesome they can hold any size bar, the suction cup has never failed me in at least 2 years and also the rubber won’t leave a mark. The holder itself has like a checkerboard pattern so no matter how small the bar of soap it won’t fall through like some of the other brands that have just straight lines holding the soap. The water runs right off there’s nowhere it can puddle up just awesome!I do recommend! And a great price for such a great item. Read more
