Update: Seller warrantied the monitor. New monitor does not have the problems of the old. For the price, and panel type, this is a good gaming. Manufacturer stands by their product and warranty! Picture is very clear, if still. Any movement has bad ghosting and pixelation. Scrolling text gives the same ghosting with a red/yellow tint to the text. I am amending my review. Since I was happy with the monitor before it failed, as I thought it worked great for the price. It became a paperweight after 3mos time. I found the issue though was the plug. Which is why it was not ideal, but once fixed has been working great again and no issues as yet. What is even more important was the response from Sansui. They offered me to replace the monitor...without any questions, and reach out to me via email. However I did not reply immediately and got one of my old plugs from somewhere and tried it out and it is working great. So great customer support and I assume a one off issue, unless others have noted the same where it stops working. For now, I would consider them again - assuming it continues as is. == Original Review === I'm actually kidding about fade to black. It simply stopped turning on just after 3 mos. No power whatsoever. I went through a whole routine, thinking it was an issue with the cord, or the HDMI table or the laptop, which slot I plugged into, and for the first couple of days when it would not start, some of those had some results and it would power up. Well, by end of the week, it simply no longer powered up at all. I agree with others that it is cheaply made, but a good price and worked well for the first 3 mos. The screen quality was easily adjusted and outside of its a usually lightweight paperweight now, I have no other complaints. Ideally they should offer some support after 3 mos for how to fix this, since I would at very least expect it to last for 6mos before this level of failure, and ideally a year or 3. I tend to think it takes just as much effort and quality control to make these solutions last longer than it does to plan this type of fast failure after just 3 mos. I was a little bit skeptical about buying a monitor online but I had to buy something because my 3 year old broke my 32 inch curved MSI monitor and needed something that would be a great alternative and this monitor is definitely it. The quality is nice and the screen is so clear with a beautiful picture. It was extremely easy to assemble and to set up. It's not as good as the pro version and the pro version is the one that you see reviewed all over the internet. This has the same model number but it's missing the pro at the end. This monitor doesn't have as many bells and whistles but overall is very similar. You'll pay a bit more for the pro version. I needed a computer monitor for work but I also gain occasionally and also watch movies so I wanted something that looked good. This looks incredible. With two HDMI and two DP connections I don't need anything else. The menus are easy to figure out with one button controller and thankfully a separate on off switch. It has built-in speakers but nothing that you would really want to use. There is a 3.5 mm speaker or headphone jack but no mic jack. To monitor has enough tilt for just about anything you would need and it'll also turn vertically. I probably would have gotten the pro version but after weighing it all out an extra $70 or $80 didn't seem to be worth it. If I was more of an avid gamer I would have gotten the pro. Overall I think this is a great value monitor. I was kind of surprised to see sansui making things again but then I discovered that the Japanese company went out of business years ago and Chinese company bought the name. Smart move. Read more
