The price is ok for this product. It gets expensive once you realize you can't stop using this or the new hair will fall out. It worked for my husband, who hasn't had hair for decades. It took a lot of patience, but eventually he had some new growth. The fluid didn't seem sticky or oily and didn't leave a residue. He didn't have any negative reactions to any of the ingredients. After consistent use sure enough there are small hairs showing up on my 64 year old dad's head that has been completely bad for YEARS. I originally got this product not realizing it was for men, to use on myself as my hair had been recently thinning. And only after receiving did I see the big FOR MEN and FOR USE BY MEN ONLY. Well my husband has be unfairly blessed with so much thick luscious hair it sometimes makes me sick, so there was no point in trying this on him, but my very bald dad on the other hand.... My 64 year old father, bless him, started balding in his late twenties and by his mid-late thirties had lost a whole lot of what was on top. He has been cutting everything short forever and the top of his head has been fully smooth for I'm not sure how long, but at least the last 15 years. Well he started putting this stuff on as directed and sure enough little hairs have started sprouting out of the top of his smooth head! Now he is very far past the completely regrowing a whole head of hair, but there are definitely quite a few hairs growing that previously were not there. I would venture to say if you started using this product at the early signs of balding it would probably be a big help. Although I don't feel like I needed this, my wife was insistent that my hair is thinning on top, so we decided to check out a Minoxidil solution to see if it will help. From what I've read, it's better to go for a non-oily treatment, so this bottle from Santo Remedio works. I was glad to find out that the treatment did not have any noticeable smells and was easy to apply with the included dripper. I can't really speak to the effectiveness of the ingredient since I've just started using it, but Minoxidil has been prescribed for this purpose for quite a long time. Another thing I've noticed is that even with small amount you consume with the dripper, the treatment has a tendency to run down your hair, so watch out for that. Finally, after each application I was my hands diligently to ensure the solution does not get to unwanted areas on my skin. I give it 4 stars. Read more
Because 5% minoxidil solutions require twice per day applications for effectiveness, a buildup of residue between applications can be a concern with some formulations. The alternative is hair washing in between, but even still the residue left behind with some formulations I’ve tried can be significant. This residue can make your hair appear oily and thinner than it already may be, which is no good. Therefore, I’ve started to look more closely at the inactive ingredients, preferring the base to contain alcohol instead of something like castor oil. Minoxidil is not very soluble in plain water, so some kind of hydrocarbon base is necessary to keep it in solution, and alcohol is preferable because it evaporates, unlike oil. This is a very clean formulation that only contains the absolute necessary ingredients, namely minoxidil, and the bare minimum to make that minoxidil soluble. No essential oils, no biotin, etc., none of which really do much compared to the minoxidil. If you’re going to use 5% minoxidil, then go with a clean formulation---and this is one of those that I’d highly recommend. Also, ignore people who say to use a sprayer since that just gets the product all over your hair instead of on your scalp where it belongs, wasting and expensive product in the process. A dropper is the best way to get the product onto your scalp and at the roots, where it works. If anything, I’ll transfer this to a nicer dark glass dropper bottle that has bulb tip, which glides more easily across the scalp. Read more

I decided to try the Santo Remedio Men's Hair Regrowth Treatment after noticing slow thinning at the crown of my head. The clinical-strength active ingredient of 5% Minoxidil appealed to me, and I wanted to see if it would work. After a month of consistent use, I noticed small improvements. My hair felt tougher, and balding areas not as apparent. The absence of scent was definitely a bonus since it was no impediment to my morning and night grooming rituals. Application was easy—a couple of drops rubbed into the scalp twice a day. It absorbed instantly without residue, which was a pleasant addition. However, I did find the product to be a bit drying to my scalp, especially during winter. A moisturizing shampoo was added to counteract this.
