Pretty, but there are some construction problems!

This sweater is pretty, but it's not very well put together. It's intended to look like a sweater over the top of a denim shirt, but the woven fabric of the sweater is super soft and flexible (that's good), and the denim of the collar is stiff and heavy, so it drags down on the sweater fabric and just kind of hangs funny. The two gold buttons are extremely cheap and look cheap, and they were also sewn on very poorly. Both of them were done up when the sweater arrived, but that made me look like a grandma, and when I unbuttoned them, the thread was so long on each button that they visibly dangled down. They don't add much to the sweater, so I will likely end up just cutting them off. I haven't I washed this sweater yet (which I like to do at least once prior to writing a review), but I can already say that I'm concerned about the washability. I'm personally going to hand wash in cold water and hang to dry. With all this being said, the sweater itself (minus the collar) is warm and soft, and the blue is a very deep and beautiful color. With a bit of starch on the collar it might look a bit better (who knows), and I do plan to keep the sweater and wear it occasionally. Do I recommend it? In this case I just don't know. I might encourage you to spend the money on something with better construction and quality buttons, but if this style is perfect for you, the sweater isn't bad. Read more

Beautiful details but long and loose.

This sweater is stunning!! It's soft, luxurious and the denim detail and gold buttons are adorable. I am 5'7", 135lbs and the small fits nicely but it is a very loose small, and long. It's stretchy and so comfortable to wear, I just wish it wasn't soooo long. I use a stretchy belt/tuck thing under my shirts to tuck in the long hem and it's a bit bunchy, but I love the sweater so much that I'll make it work. Just don't order a size up, because you'll be swimming in it. It's is thick without seeming too hot or stuffy, but will keep you warm! Read more
