I hate to shop! If you've seen a number of my reviews then you know I buy ALOT from this site. I hate shopping in person. BUT.... I want quality when I buy. I tend to buy something like these bags in small quantity and try various types until I find THE PERFECT ONE! Since I hate to shop and I like quality, I tend to buy in bulk. I want to know that I have what I need when I need it! So, you can rest assured that I've tried all kinds of storage brands. These are the perfect 2 gallon bags. Why? I want bags large enough to protect my box of donuts from the bakery, several loaves of bread and more. The larger size comes in SO handy. This brand is a nice thick plastic that holds in freshness while keeping out odors. I can literally put my donuts in the 'frig right next to a cut onion and I never taste the onion. THAT matters! How easily a bag closes is an absolute deal-breaker for me. I find it frustrating as all get out to fiddle with a bag and not be able to get it to close properly OR worse.... find out it didn’t stay closed! Bags I use MUST close easily (as I have issues with the nerves in my hands) and they have to STAY SHUT! I rely on bags to protect the contents and bags that don’t .... they don’t get bought by me. I buy these in quantity for the following reasons: 1. They are good thick bags. 2. They keep freshness in. 3. They keep out unwanted odors/moisture 4. They are easy to close. 5. They stay closed. 6. The convenience of having them when I want/need them 7. Buying in quantity is economical and cost-efficient. So, how does your storage bags stack up? Read more

Bought by mistake, not realizing the size of the ziploc bags. I'm extremely pleased on how many different things I can do with these bags. And what amount they can actually store! This was a great mistake to have purchased the size of the bag that I got. I believe it's a 2 gallon. I would like to purchase even bigger bags in the future if they make them. I have not researched that, so I'm just saying PURCHASE PURCHASE PURCHASE! You will not be disappointed! Read more

I use these mostly for tenderizing meats. I can put up to six chicken thighs or pork loin slices in the bag and pound away with the tenderizing mallet. They're better than plastic wrap which easily tears or shreds. Yeah, you can pound away without these bags or plastic wrap, but then you got meat bits flying all over your kitchen. Best to keep those bits contained and kitchen tidy. Read more

I like to store my fabric projects in this type of bag. I didn’t want the stand-up bottom that’s useful for food storage and that’s all I could find locally. The 2-gallon size is perfect as the 2.5 gallon size is often too large. I push the air out to limit the space and the seal holds well. Great price too! Read more

The size is amazing for marinating larger pieces of meat; the bags are sturdy and decently leak proof. You could probably even reuse them a few times if you wanted, but the price… not very nice, they are only plastic after all… definitely a very cheap product to manufacture, all things considered, I think this is a classic case of paying for a brand name, but I’m decently satisfied with these, and will probably even buy more in the future as long as they are decently priced, but if I can find a better price for 2 Gallon bags, I will definitely test those out and see how they compare to these Read more
