This corset is well constructed and does the job of support with ease. It has the great advantage of a side zipper, so once adjusted at the shoulder ribbons and front lacing, you can get in and out of it easily. When putting mine on over a couple of layers, I say a prayer of thanks, for Scarlet Darkness putting zippers in all the right places! The other reason zippers rule, is that satin ribbons, though exquisitely pretty, will come untied. They must be double-knotted, once you've worn your corset out for it's inaugural journey and know you've got the fitting right. I strongly advise having a meal before tying those final knots. Trust me on this. The fabric is a sturdy, woven material with medium-weight plastic boning to provide the structure. I have several corsets of this design, though the yellow was my first. They hold up well for long days out-and-about. I decided, since I am a bit of a klutz, to spray my corset fronts with a good quality fabric protectant. These are often used on furniture upholstery and the fabric of these corsets reminds me of that weight and texture of material. I dreaded the thought of spilling coffee or spaghetti sauce on my beloved corsets! They turned out beautifully and I can wear them without any worries. I especially like this lower-cut front design, because it shows off your figure and your blouse, a little more than a higher front corset. To wear a corset is the ultimate expression of femininity, and a well fitted corset is very comfortable. I followed the chart provided by Scarlet Darkness and used my exact bust measurement at the widest. I ended up with a size 10, though technically I measure a 12 at bust and an 8 at waist. There's a good 5 inches of "play" with these, thanks to the fabric panel behind the front lacing. If you prefer, you can fold the panel behind and show the fabric of whatever you're wearing beneath. I wear these corsets because they are lovely, but also because they provide a little extra back and rib support. They remind me to sit and stand up straight, which helps us look and feel the best. I layer them with skirts and dresses, but also wear them with jeans. These corsets are very well crafted, of quality materials. The colors are exactly as pictured and I've purchased many in this style. To me, a corset is a necessary part of my outfit, like a pair of shoes. They are a wonderful invention and this is a great example. Read more

This corset is stunning and well-made! The floral design is intricate and vintage-inspired, and the boning provides structure without being uncomfortable. Love the darker colors! It fits true to size and is easy to lace up, making it perfect for Renaissance fairs, cosplay, or gothic fashion. The quality feels high-end for the price, and it looks even better in person. A gorgeous addition to any wardrobe! Read more

It's cute, (photo on left with green dress). I got a couple of these and find the black one matches all the dresses I have. My only gripe (and is a bit nit picky) is with the shoulder straps. They're long even when tied as tight as possible. Them falling off the side is kind of typical I'd say at festival but it'd be nice to have the actual strap a touch shorter so you can tie them shorter. Other than that, the quality is definitely there for the money. Anyone looking for a leather alternative this is an easy recommendation. The zipper works surprising well. I have no doubt I could wear this to many festivals to come without it breaking or diminishing in thickness or sturdiness. As far as wearability: I'm 5'5" with a longer torso and a smaller chest(36) I got a sz 10 and would have been better off if I went with a sz 8. Read more

This is a very pretty corset. I used the size chart and went for the suggested measurement for my natural waist size and it fits as expected. I can let the laces out a little or have them all the way laced in for a tighter look. The shoulders are more comfortable with some length in the ribbons, but I can lace the straps tighter if I want it to sit higher. The zipper makes it easy to get on and off, though it can be a little tricky to get started and I usually loosen the laces first. The colors are pretty, and the fabric is like a thin canvas. It seems sturdy enough and I have had no issues with the construction. Read more

It’s perfect! Looks great on a flat chest. Size 16 was too big and 14 is a little snug as it comes laced. I am happy to have gone a size down and been able to adjust somewhat. The quality is wonderful. The material is sturdy, all the edges and seams are finished. The compression is comfortable and supportive. There’s fabric that covers the zipper and prevents chafing. I couldn’t be happier! Read more

This is cute but the size isn't accurate. When I first ordered I did it by what my measurments were vs the size chart, I had to return it since it ended up being two sizes too big. Once I got the correct size I wore it all day during a faire I was working and it pinched through my shirt where the zipper sits so I'd make sure to wear a long thicker shirt under it to make sure it was more comfortable. Overall ok value for a cheap corset. Read more

I love how flexible and soft this corset was. I ordered a size 8, but could have gotten a 6. I'm 5'6", 135 lbs. I had to pull the laces all the way in to keep it from moving around, but it was very comfortable. The print is very nice, overall felt very sturdy (not thin, and has a soft lining on the inside), and is easy to get on and off thanks to the zipper on the side - love that I don't have to re-lace it every time I wear it!
