My chicken backpack is a hit! I needed a smallish work/commute backpack following shoulder surgery, so I gambled on this one and was pleasantly surprised. It's a light and comfortable carry. There are the usual zippered compartments to balance out my gear, and the stranger-danger whistle on the chest strap may come in handy the next time a crazy guy chases me down a long, isolated corridor at 2 a.m. (True story 😱). This backpack is the standard, prototypical nylon backpack with the usual back and shoulder strap padding, mesh side pockets, and a couple of zip pockets (one inside, one outside) BUT the selling point is a marvelously rendered tie-dye pattern like no other! Not only will this bag match almost anything you’re wearing (if that’s important to you), it will put a grin on your face each time you use it. What makes this pattern so great? Not just the colorful variety of dyes used but the fact that the designers of this backpack made the effort to match the patterns between the bag part of the backpack and any added pockets, straps, etc. Doesn’t sound like much but makes all the difference in the finished product - the tie-dye pattern is uninterrupted across both the front and back. if you love tie dye and backpacks, this is the bag for you. I am a petite adult that loves tie dye and have been looking for a bag that is not "printed" looking. This bag looks like it was hand dyed and the colors are exactly as pictured. The bag itself is so well designed, with great features making this bag the perfect go-to for so many uses. For travel, I love the zippered pockets inside the large and middle sections. It adds a level of safety to keep those personal items secure, while carrying the pack on your back, but provides quick access at the top of the bag to access what you need. The laptop pouch is big enough for my 15" laptop. The outside pockets easily fit several of my water bottles/thermos. The straps are very comfortable and provide ample sizing options. Love that the chest strap includes an emergency whistle. Overall, this bag is great and I am going to get a lot of use out of it (I hope). Read more
