I've had this in my truck (08' F350 King Ranch 4x4) for a few months now and there are a few things about it that I like vs. the Nato magnetic mount that's in my wifes car. The footprint that actually sticks to the dash is not too large, I was able to find a spot for it on the center stack of my F350 that was within reach and visible. This is on-par with the Nato mount- they are almost identical in footprint. The one thing I was skeptical about when I first got it was the size of both the magnet and the magnetic surface that attaches to my phone case- but it's a non-issue, it grabs my phone and hasn't fallen off once. I'm not doing hard off-roading my truck but it's stuck on there well enough that I've stopped thinking about it. My wifes Nato mount again seems solid as well which brings us to the last thing. Both mounts are "ball mounts"- there's a ball on the phone side of the mount that swivels in a cup with a ring that you tighten when you've found the position you like. The Scosche mount can be tightened finger tight and the mount stays exactly where you put it, the Nato mount, even with extra torque on the ring will move after a while and begin to sag/ wiggle. So as far as stability while driving goes the Scosche mount is good- I was up north a week ago on dirt roads and it did well- it flexes a bit when it gets bumpy but a lot less than you'd expect. My wifes Nato mount will begin to move around and loosen up a bit and the phone will sag and flop around- not good. All in all I'm satisfied with the Scosche mount- high quality, easy to mount, solid performance. Read more

This is an upgrade in magnet strength from the original, which I used for 10 years to hold a Galaxy S5. The best part of this upgrade to the Pro was that the I didn't need to change the adhesive base! The magnetic mount and new nut fit the old base! The new magnets are strong enough to hold an S24+ with the plates mounted on the exterior of the Pelican case. (They may even hold with the magnets mounted on the interior of the case, though I neglected to try that.) I put the large plate at the bottom of the phone and it holds well, even when touching the top of the phone. I put a second, medium size, plate to the right of the camera lenses which holds the phone lower on the dash, and that works equally well. That plate arrangement, hopefully, keeps the plates away from the wireless charging area, but I have not tested wireless charging yet. Bottom line: If you have the original adhesive base and magnet you can easily upgrade to the Pro magnet without having to remove the base from your dash, and the new magnet(s) will hold your heavier, S24 and likely larger, phone. I bought this magnetic holder along with the pro clip mount for my 2016 Jeep Wrangler. I have seen some of these mounted on jeeps before and they hold up great to on road and off road use so wanted to give it a try. Pros: -Very strong magnet -Comes with metal base plate to place inside your -phone case or to your phone itself -Large area so easy to just place your phone or tablet on it Cons: Only comes with adhesive to mount it. Would be nice if you were able to screw it to a clip without having to modify the mount itself. But that's really just a preference and doesn't hinder it's abilities at all Read more

I have the older version of this mount and I love it. However as phone got bigger and heavier it was no longer strong enough to hold my phone. This new updated mount is flawless. It supports my S25 ultra with no problems at all. I do think the changeable bezel is pointless and my only complaint is I have to use a case I don't care about at the magnet is not strong enough to use through a case. And you must place the plate in the center of the phone to be sure to use a car you don't care about if you plan on using wireless charging with your normal case. as the plate does not support wireless charging. I had the classic magic mount and loved it. I bought one for everyone in my family. I had mine on my dash for almost 4 years. It suddenly fell off and I needed it replaced immediately. Now there is a pro, I couldn't tell the difference besides price. It claims to have stronger magnets and sometimes without my case (it has a metal ring that helps it hold) it falls off easily. So I got the pro. The followed all the instructions as I have used this item in all my cars. I did it in the evening, held it for 3 minutes cause my dash has a slight curve. I let it sit for 24 hours. A few minutes into my ride, my car and the magic mount went flying. My car floor was dirty so the adhesive got dirty and wouldn't stick anymore. I contacted the seller and they quickly sent me another one. Again, I read the instructions to ensure I didn't miss anything, installed it. Let the mount sit for the whole weekend. I noticed that just a small section of the bent edge was not touching on the first one, so this time I was adamant to not allow any space of no contact, but still it fell. Comparing it to the one I had before, the adhesive pad/leg is bigger. The adhesive was so strong that even when it was falling off the half that was still on was hard to rip off and I thought it would take a layer of my dash board. I guess they don't make them like that anymore. The magnets don't matter if it isn't going to stick. The old ones were better. I'm going to return this one and go back to the original. Read more

This has been going strong in my car since 2019, and I am NOT gentle with it. I love finding something I don't have to re-buy over and over. Just bought a second one for my son, and the quality seems to be just as good as the original I purchased almost 7 years ago. Read more
