This art drafting table is excellent quality and materials. Very straightforward assembly. I assembled myself but would be good to have someone help with glass top. Sturdy, great size for large art projects such as large sheets of watercolor paper or vellum for large drafting projects. Excellent value and looks great. Fits nicely in my apartment space. No issues so far love the height of the table. You may want to buy a drafting stool or computer chair but comfortable to stand at and work. Read more
I love this table. It is really cool looking, and very funtional. I did have a problem with it. The large glass peice was broken when I took it out of the box. Both glass peices have two round cylinders glued to the glass. These are for bolting to the framework of the table. One of these cylinders was broken off, & the glass was broken in a small spot. When I discovered this I had already put the table together. The glass comes in a separate box that I didn't open until I was ready for it. Unfortunately, I had spent an hour & a half already assembling, and had cut up the box for recycle. My wife called customer service at Amazon, Devine Best Buys. This was on a Friday evening. She talked with Joe, in customer service.Told him the problem. He was so nice and helpful. He contacted Studio Designs. At first they said, they could replace the single glass peice. He said it might be the following Monday before he could find out about sending the broken peice back.He then called us back on Saturday morning and said they could not just send the glass. I told him how hard it would be to disassemble the whole table and pack up to ship back. I will, if I need to, but I need a free shipping label. He said no you do not need to do that. We are sending a complete new table, just keep the first one. A new table arrived that Wednesday. So not only do I think the table is great for my use, but I highly recommend buying from Amazon. This is a nice table. Saw it at local store and had a chance to touch and feel it. The assembly was pretty straight forward and took about 1 hour to complete. Its sturdy and offers plenty of unique features. The modern design is perfect in my loft space, compared to the old wooden table I had before. The only thing I don't like about it, are the snap-on plastic bins on either side of the glass table top (NOT the plastic drawers!). The bins all came in the same sizes and I have brushes that are too long to fit. Would have been nice if one of the bins didn't have compartments and was instead a long open tray. This product gives you ample leg room and is very nice it is absolutely a very good buy. I would recommend this product. I would suggest you really follow the directions and pay attention so you don’t put things on the wrong way. It isn’t difficult and took me an hour and 40 minutes. I fit well sitting under the the table because I am 6’4. Then with this chair it moves up and down works well. Keep up with the screws plus the little tools they give you and you will be fine. The tools are Small and that is the difficulty in the slow down putting together. This although wasn’t a real problem you can do it. It isn’t 100% sturdy but very sturdy for my drawing and other applications. You will be satisfied with your purchase. it is also discounted right now. Read more
I bought this glass table because I do art and I also needed a place to work on electronics. Glass is one of the only materials out there that you can wipe away paints and markers from, and also is heat resistant, not that I would intentionally try to burn a table, but having this made out of glass makes it a perfect craft table. This table is designed exceptionally well. The body is made out of a light weight but pretty durable aluminum legs, it gives you plenty of leg room, and the additional drawers on the side really help with storing miscellaneous things which makes the space less cluttered. The tilt on the table is fantastic as well, and since it's glass I can use the entire table as a light panel of some sort if I wanted to trace images. There are so many different ways you can use this table! When I first bought it I didn't know if I made the right choice but now that I have it, I couldn't be happier with the purchase, and if I ever needed another one I would buy again. Read more
This desk is made well, was easy for me to put together alone(54 year old woman), and had good directions. It arrived ahead of schedule and in great shape, with a heavy glass top and metal that could have easily been scratched. Actually all of the pieces were so clean you never knew anyone touched it. It looks contemporary, but really would go with most decor. Please note that the box is heavy. It's rare that something is packaged so well, came without scratch, and you get what you pay for. Purchased for my college age daughter who is an artist. I expected it to be sturdy, functional, and esthetically pleasing as her studio is the first room in my home. My expectations were met. The quality was so much better than I expected. I absolutely love it and it suits my needs perfectly. The only thing I had trouble with was the storage piece. It takes a lot of pressure to snap the pieces together, I broke the top portion. I did not let that affect my review mainly because I had originally planned to put my own storage piece there. I just went with my original plan and did not feel this affected the overall quality of the desk. You do need to really pay attention to the instructions and lay all of your pieces out. The instructions are drawn pictures only. I was able to put it together in an hour and a half by myself. Great value. Read more
