In a traditional classroom, I would have my chart paper and whiteboard from which to teach and I could move around the room whenever I needed to. Now having to teach remotely on an online platform with the use of ZOOM, I have to sit all day in front my computer ALL DAY which has given me so many neck, wrist and leg cramps from being in the same position all day. Not to mention my eyes hurting, and I had to buy blue light glasses. I needed to find a versatile desk that would allow me to sit or stand whenever I wanted. This is the perfect combination of a standing mobile desk! I like the 2 levels, so I can sit down when I need to and then stand if I need to. I don't need to keep changing the height of the tabletop since I have two levels. It's not bulky, so I can move it around the classroom easily, and it is not in the way. Assembly took me 30 minutes with easy to follow directions. I was by myself, so with 2 people, it would be quicker. I was bummed that there was no storage, and the standing desks that did have storage did not have the 2 leveled tabletops. As you can see from the picture I put a basket and file container on the bottom. I used velco tape and it's secure. You can also use Zip Ties to secure baskets/bins. I am also able to give running records with my students with this. The student stands on one side reading a passage to me while I stand on the other side recording what they are saying. And since one level is higher, it is better for my neck and posture while I assess, and I'm not hunched over. Plus it is about 2-3 inches higher than other standing mobile desks. Thank you SDADI!!!! This little cart is very compact and much more adjustable than many other products available--and at a much lower price point! So, I really commend the makers for their smart work to fill this need. For myself, there's a few places where it isn't perfect, but honestly it is still the best I have found. Pros: * Very compact, and yet still wide enough you can fit both a laptop and mouse on it without a separate tray. But because it is so compact, you can still easily roll it through a standard size door. * Separately adjustable sides of the desk. It is so critical to be able to position your laptop/keyboard and your monitor both, separately! Many adjustable desks only give you one surface that is adjustable, which is really an oversight. With this desk, you can easily adjust each side separately to a range of different heights. * One side is tiltable. I haven't used this feature for my purposes, but it is pretty cool that you can tilt one side to be an angled surface easily. * Price is low. Many ergonomic desks are super expensive. This one is affordable to practically anyone. * Looks nice. The simple black design looks modern and uncomplicated. Cons: * I wish it went lower. I mostly wanted this for a sitting laptop cart. I am 5'3", and I would prefer that the lowest setting could go at least two inches shorter than it does. Since it does not go as low as I would like, I need to raise my chair higher and then use a footrest so my feet are not dangling. I actually put a board across the lower bar of the cart to use as a footrest, which works pretty well. * Framework of cart prevents you from extending legs under desk. Again--maybe this is just an issue because I wanted to use it as a seated desk, but when I want to stretch my legs from time to time, it isn't possible to just stretch them forward because the structure of the desk is in the way. * Design issue that can easily result in stripped bolt hole. As some other people had noted in reviews, it seems that the bolt hole that holds the front keyboard tray in place is easily stripped, and I also found in my own assembly that I could not tighten it properly. It actually was still usable, but not as sturdy as I would like for something brand new. However, I did write the company and they promptly sent me a new piece that worked fine. After installing the new piece, I would say it is pretty sturdy. Also, once you have successfully assembled it, it wouldn't cause any further issue, because it isn't like the bolt hole could get stripped unless you had some reason to be screwing and unscrewing the bolt. I'm guessing enough people had the issue with the stripped bolt hole that hopefully they will be able to solve it in future iterations of this product. Anyway, all in all, I am very happy with my little cart, which I have in my dining room. It allows me to have a handy little workstation that does not get in the way of the dining table and main purpose of that room. And if I have guests and want to move it out of the way, it is very easy to do so. Read more
I purchased this as a gift for my sister-in-law. She said: "I love the standing desk because of the mobility, size, and two-tier platforms. It’s easy to put together, lightweight, the height for each platform is adjustable but secure, and the wheels make it easy to move it anywhere in the house but they also lock. I am 5’4” so the height of each platform is perfect. I have enough space to do what I need but it’s not overbearing. A few caveats… there isn’t sufficient space for my keyboard and mousepad to fit on one platform, but I don’t even really notice when I’m using it. I just hook up the keyboard and mouse to my laptop but I would like to get a monitor and connect my laptop via HDMI, but I don’t know where I would put my laptop. The cord is long enough to just set on a nearby table/bed/couch so not a big deal, but still one downside." Read more
After reading reviews I was worried on what it's height range was, but I am 5'6" and the table is perfect for me to stand at with maybe a couple inches to spare. I have 30 inch flat screen sitting on on the top part that is 9 lbs and it feels sturdy, zero worries of it falling. I bought this for extended hours of gaming and will mention that there is barely room for a small keyboard and mouse. I've raised the keyboard up on lil bits of paper so the mouse pad can slip under it and this is perfect for playing Guild Wars 2. But if you're looking to play League of legends or other games where you may have to have a broader range for your mouse, I would maybe buy some wood at home depot and attach it cause there really isn't much room to work with. I do plan on doing that myself in the future, but until then this is more than perfect! Also as a side note, I may get tired of standing for three to four hours so it's really simple and easy to lower into a sitting position. Read more
It’s been pretty functional for me. I don’t have much space & it’s fits in the corner so well with my cricut & the fact that I can move it around was even better! Read more
