I am skeptical of USED drives but this drive came package properly with magnetic shielding and was not beat up. The drive itself look almost new like it sat in a server rack and since it was first open. The drive came unformatted and cleared. The drive itself is used but still has a lot of life, I recommend if you order to run disk scan and check it for errors or issues upon arrival but some drives may not be in the same shape as others. I use "Crystal Disk Info" and "HWiNFO" to get the info from the drive, such as SMART information and more. Ive included the stats from my drive and would recommend you give these drives a try. 7.2k RPM is the slowest i will go and i recommend the same! Hope this Helps Read more

Purchased Feb 2023, crashed Nov. 2025. Seagate's new warranty is, I believe, 5 years. goHardDrive is 90 days. Spend the extra $15 or so for a new drive with a real warranty. Read more

I used this drive for mass storage so the speed of an SSD is not a concern for me here. Seagate has a good reputation for spinning Hard Drives and I have always had good luck with them. I have been using this for a month or so now and as expected no issues. Read more

After repartitioning the drive and mounting a new one it actually has 5.25 TB. Not noisy and read and write speeds are within norms. Read more
