Review is for CushyOasis Seat Cushion, Chair Cushions, Office Chair Cushions, Anti-Slip Bottom & Removable Cover.... I am a computer guy, so I sit for long periods of time at a computer monitor and I have tried several different chair cushions. Some work, some don't. I am happy to report, this one works and the price is absolutely reasonable for the comfort it provides. Ok, why I like some cushions and not others. For me, I don't like too much cushion, or too little, too firm or not enough. Each person has a preference, so its difficult to order these online with no way to try it out. Maybe this will help you. Likes: 1. Not too dense/thick of a cushion. I got the 4.76" version, the bigger one, for me, might be too big. (5.28) 2. Big size. Not that I have a huge...ummmm....yah, no, thats not it. I don't like shifting the cushion to get it "perfect" on the chair before I sit down. Just about all the cushions I have tried need to be adjusted. This one is large enough to fit perfectly in my chair. Check the dimensions of this cushion. This was one of the reasons I decided to take a chance and pick this one up. 3. Comfort. I feel it provides the right amount of cushion for me, and my chair. (different one than this one) Get this chair if you want a comfy chair that lasts a long time with daily hours of use. 4. cover is washable. Cons.....Don't really have any, since its a cushion. You should try it for yourself and see. I don't notice any "cooling" from the gel foam, but hey...it is what it is. The non-slip bottom works, so it doesn't shift around much, but then again, its a larger cushion. If your current cushion is slightly too small, try this one and see if the fit is better. She uses a different one...LOL, probably one of my cast aways....she wants one, since she finds MY cushion comfy! So I am purchasing another. Which may turn into more purchases for elder parents. Although I don't have tailbone issues while sitting, this cushion is a win. I find that it bounces back to normal height very quickly, and I went back and forth between this cushion and another one for my chair. This was suggested as a companion purchase with my new wheelchair, at checkout. This makes a huge difference for long term seating. I'm new to the wheelchair with a back injury and siatica and have had to wait since Thanksgiving to get a diagnosis Dec 11. Without this cushion it would have been uncomfortable sitting as long as I've had too. Non slip bottom keeps my back firmly against the backrest. I wish my memory foam seat was as comfortable as this cushion. I can sit for 2-3 hours at my desk at a time for work, to watch tv shows, or to do hobbies. My brand new memory foam chair seat deformed in a week because I was sitting in it for so long which is why I bought the CushyOasis Seat Cushion. It fits my desk chair perfectly, helps me to sit straight and comfortably, and seems to slowly bounce back to its original shape better than memory foam. The cushion is always cool when I sit in it which would be great for warmer months. The seat cushion does slip a little when I move in and out of the seat, but I can adjust it. I wish it had a strap to attach to the back of my chair so I wouldn't have to check to adjust it, but overall, great product! Read more
The quality seems to be very high using high quality materials and built very well. I'm a large-built person that's also over weight and I found the width to be accommodating, not so thick that it would make a drastic height difference in my office chair and as for functionality, that, as I mentioned below would be specific to each person depending on the cause of their back pain. For the most part it's comfortable but the question of it relieving back and hip pain is questionable to me. Back pain is very specific to each person and as far as I know, not too many strides have been taken in the past 30 years to solve it past what we knew then. I'm not a doctor and haven't researched it so of course I could be wrong here. My point is people have back pain for different reasons and there isn't a cure all for all back pain. That being said, after the first day I used this my back was killing me. It might be for numerous reasons, and one possibility is this product invoked certain muscles that have been lax for an extended amount of time due to the seat bottom in my office chair being worn out and if that's the case, only time will tell if those muscles heal and the pain goes away. It's also possible that this is no good at all for my back pain, but as I said, only time will tell. Does this function well? I can't answer that for everyone. Build quality is high, it's more comfortable that the seat bottom on my office chair but does it do anything positive? I'm still not sure. This is, as the title reflects, is an initial review. Products such as these can't be rated as how well they work for everything. That's too much of a blanket statement and in my opinion, any reviews that says it's great and you should buy it, you shouldn't rely just on that and expect the same results. So, should you buy this product? If you have back pain, maybe you should. I bought it because I love my office chair but the seat bottom foam kind of lost its firmness and support and I can't find another chair with similar features, like the back leaning back and the chair tilting like a rocking chair with adjustable armrests. The company I bought it from is basically out of business, I think they're just selling off their stock because their products are very limited. But I needed o do something and this product is a lot cheaper and more convenient than buying chair after chair after chair and being disappointed with each one, sending each one back until i find the perfect replacement for what I want in a desk chair. Wow this cushion is a game changer! I work long hours and end up sitting at my desk most of the day. I used to have pain in my back and legs every day after work but I haven't had any ever since I got this cushion!
