Used for hard commercial use, house cleaning. This is more pointing at what has worn at a year so you can make a more informed decision. Cons: It did over heat once. Scared me but the next day it did turn on again. The automatic brush height adjustment is a little annoying but you get use to it, takes a learning curve when transitioning from flat to deep carpet. It has started squeeking lately needs maintenance maybe on the wheels. The handle latch is always loose and I have a habit of checking it many times during the day so it does not disconnect when lifting the vacuum. When cleaning the brush, at first the bristles came out but only pulled out 3. Cord at connection point to vac has a flexible cover that has split and dangles now. The orange foot latch comes out once and a while and can be a pain to reinstall but it is possible (same for the older models). Pros: this is a great vac. I took a chance on this newer model and it has worked out just as I hoped. I baby this thing and after a year it does feel like I need this to go into the shop and have a small bit of maintenance done. But I use it hard and it has stood strong. I recommend this vacuum. Hose holds up and attachments. Easy to clean, keep clean, change bags, filters, clear clogs. Can lay flat on ground with out lifting. Cord is long. Read more

No I’m not talking about a vehicle, it’s a vacuum and probably the best one I’ve ever owned. It’s sleek and oh so quiet. Yes it has bags (two in fact) but I never got used to a bag less vacuum. I have 4 dogs so I usually vacuum daily sometimes more! I like the tool storage because they’re almost built in and out of sight. Oh boy does this thing pick up hair, dirt and dust! I really like the filtration because there isn’t any smell or dust coming out of the vacuum. Yes it’s expensive but it just might be worth it! Read more

This is my favorite vacuum given how powerful it is and the great job it performs. However less than a year old, it’s broken twice now, first the cord, then the engine or electric. Currently in a shop for repair. It does come with a 10-year warranty so that’s good. Read more

I have purchased many other brand vacuums in the past e.g., Bissell, Eureka, Oreck, but this is hands down the best thus far. I really like the fact that it automatically adjusts to the height of the cleaning surface making it less arduous to vacuum and also automatically stops if there is an obstruction on the floor. Also, it's very quiet compared to other vacuum cleaners that I've used and the materials used to make to product appear to be better than the flimsy made vacuums currently on the market. The only con is that the cord is not retractable. Other than that, I am very happy with the vacuum. Money well spent. Read more

All you need to know is I purchased this model back in 2001 (or the equivalent) and it has never given me any problems. Very reliable and never a broken belt or anything. I have had it over 20 years now and it was worth the extra price because I was purchasing a new vacuum every year. Order bags and filters online. Adjusts to high/low carpet or hardwood floors. Wouldn't purchase anything else and thinking of buying another because I have a bonus room now and I would like one on both floors. I have read some of the low ratings and most of them are due to the user not knowing how to use the machine. What upright vacuum works on throw rugs and still has good suction? It deserves 5 stars and I am a 20 "same machine" reviewer. Read more
