This is my first fightstick and it came earlier than expected, thankful for that! The packaging was very minimal compared to the fightstick I bought for my girlfriend (8Bitdo SNES-style arcade stick); Just a cardboard box with bubble wrap packaging inside containing the hitbox, USB-C cord, instructions and additional accessories. Very easy to use once you read the instructions! It defaults into the Xbox/Windows/Steam profile so if you’re on that, it’s plug and play! If you’re on another device, I do recommend referring to the instructions. Functions great, buttons feel good after an hour or so of use, input feels solid. Construction is what you expect as the price point and thankfully not too much of a concern. Nothing came loose or broken but you can feel the acrylic cringe a bit if you bend the controller even slightly so I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS CONTROLLER IF YOU RAGE WHILE GAMING. Overall, solid controller for fighting games! Read more

Make sure to tighten the screws once you get the item, they arrived loose and a couple fell out. The buttons work great and works well with PC, leds are customizable and we have it set up with Street Fighter 6 colors Read more

I'm coming from a G16 as I needed a bit more room for my hands to rest..and of course, for art. The buttons feel much nicer and properly arcade-like and I've noticed zero latency issues regarding input. I've been playing mostly DJMax and GGXXAC+. My R16 did arrived flexed slightly but, after asking a question I learned that the screws were over-torqued. If yours also arrives slightly bent, here's my suggestion to go alongside it: Loosen them all, fully remove them (the R16 should now be perfectly flat if laid down on a flat surface), then work the outermost ones in first -- use your fingers and a fingernail to gently snug it to the acrylic. If you feel it's still too loose, you can snug it with a flathead -- just be careful not to over-tighten as the acrylic may crack. Read more

The low-profile buttons are super responsive and comfortable, making gameplay smooth and precise. The build is solid for its size, though it’s a little flimsy since it’s so thin. Overall, perfect for fast button action and casual or competitive gaming Read more

I received the Haute 42 Hautepad R16 relatively fast after I shipped it and man, it was pretty good. It has a pretty simple setup before getting the controller to work with your games. You might have to watch a (short) YT video about setting it up for your first time though as it comes with a piece of paper whose instructions leave a bit to be desired. After that (small) initial hurdle, you’re good to go. If you’re new to these type of controllers, keep in mind that they primarily work with 2D fighting games and if you try to get them to work with other genres of games (or even non 2D fighting games) you’ll either run into poor results/it not working at all. It’s decently heavy but not so heavy that you couldn’t carry it in a bag. Haute typically has smaller, lighter controllers if that’s more your speed. The Buttons are pretty responsive, not much delay between button press and action which is good. The LED monitor in the top left corner (and the LED buttons light up) perfectly displays what buttons you’re pressing. Also the LED lights are *chef’s kiss*. The design of it is slick and slim, pretty cool if ya ask me. I could definitely say it’s worth the price tag, but again if $100 is a money sink that you’re not willing to put forward, this same company has just as good options at lower price points [also might not have the cool LEDs :( ] Read more

The board has lots of customizable buttons and lights. The switches have good feedback and can be changed. There's also a small screen that shows how the buttons read which is great for giving me visual feedback. The discord for the community also has template files for creating custom skins which are easy to add. Great board and was easy to set up. I also use it for more games just to have a more ergonomic controller. Still getting use to it but man does it feel satisfying. Read more
