This backpack is well-made and adorable. Perfect for any kid who wants a unique backpack, or who loves dogs and wants true-to-life photos on their backpack instead of cartoons. Arrived quickly, item as described, good size for school, travel, etc. We would love to see more obviously mixed breed dog options, for all of us who support adopting animals from shelters. Not only is the pattern vibrant with color, but it's made from a thick, very durable material. Between two daughter's in grade school, I've purchased just about every name brand/sport brand backpack out there, and this $30 Amazon backpack is the best quality to date.. The straps are padded thick and comfortable, and they don't loosen up from weight. Other reviews say its a bit too small, but honestly I think it's the perfect size for an elementary-middle schooler. I waited two years to give this review because I wanted to make sure I had enough time using this product. So here is the result: I purchased this backpack for my daughter in 2nd grade. It was in great shape she used it again in 3rd and may be use it for 4th grade. The backpack is sturdy, spacious, washable & stylish. The zipper is smooth. I love it and highly recommend it!!! I gave these as a Christmas/Hanukkah gift to the 3 members of a family that owns one of my puppies (now 7 years old). The photo used on the item is a lovely example of a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy (often the photos used in these items are very bad examples of the breed). This is my second backpack like this. I got the moon and then I had to get the owl too. It's comfy and holds a lot more than I initially thought. The straps are strong and adjustable, and after months of use the zipper still works great. I also love that I have to take it off to unzip it because I feel my items are more secure in crowded areas. There are many compartments and pockets to tuck things into.
